Sneha suresh

Hey there,

Im a fifth year architectural student at RVS Chennai passionate to learn and explore architecture in real world outside.

As an enthusiast and a perfectionist, I always find myself curiously learning and updating myself. Well skilled and good at balancing things helps me not compromise on my visualisation and execution despite the practical limitations. I believe people, places and culture can shape our ideas and haven’t hesitated a moment to stay grounded.

Anticipating to learn more on the technical details of designing and implementation of sustainble practise in the modern era; Im looking forward to have an amazing journey with your firm! 8056109874

A DESIGNING APPROACH INITIATED BY SECTIONAL SKETCHES.

“CHANGE

IN PROGRAM CAN COME ONLY THROUGH CHANGE IN FUNCTIONAL FORM OF SPACES”

Glimpse into the sketching done for a CBSE school in chennai. The design started with the idea to integrate levels into the form of the school to initate active flow with ease and break the preset thought of grid-structure.

Proportional sections in sketchbook led to generation of plan later converted into digital plans along with zoning.

MEMORIAL

FOR CHARLES CORREA

-a creation visualised by the poem

plan

Experiencing the unknown side of Charles Correa, glimpse into his personal life; the concept of memorial is the metaphorical journey in his last days as he was suffering from lung cancer- designed abidng with his idea of metaphysical role in the spaces we create.

13

“ The man who made sure even the buildings could breath, he pushed everyone out to experience the magic of nature In his last moments died gasping for that very air; lung cancer. One doesn’t realise the importance of air and light until you actually can’t experience them any more

sketches supporting the ideation

As one gets drawed into the trap, before he realises, one is caught enclosed in the grid following the rays of hope from the openings gets dimmed with the layers of medications and trials becoming a way out of this darkness

these fenestrations that to let you breath, see dreams seems to fool you as you can’t escape as days goes by you can not just see but physically feel that the walls coming closer; making you literally suffocate and choke its nothing but a loophole indeed but alas in some time it starts to mock you making you realise the real escape is a probability the more ways you try the more caught you feel alas if you were lucky you might actually find a way out alas if you are lucky you might actually get out when surrounded by darkness if you discover that there’s light ahead woud go any heights to get your way out either way you see the light the light of heaven or light of relief from the structured geometry, his soul finally is free into the fluidity

You get relived of the pain; through death or with another chance.“

- The site belongs to a part of the north chennai, which is rich in culture. Its known for rock beach and fisherman community. Typical U form is studied and broken to create a sense

A simple and effective form to merge people both as the community and also as a part of urban fabric with the street life. Usage of urban art as a part of tactical urbanism.
