ARCADIA VILLAGE housing project was aimed towards redevelopment of mog lines and to fulfill the requirements HIG MIG LIG and ews groups. the project is to be done in two phases initially first phase is designed and second phase is for future expansion. The design justifies the town name providing a peace and comfortable environment and also follows neighboring concept I.e not only designing 4bhk 3 bhk 2 bhk and ews/lig flats but also to provide public/recreational areas commercial zones which has shops and supermarkets.

A VERNACULAR DESIGN LOCATION-MANDLA(M.P.)

GOND SAMUH NIWAS as the name indicates this project was a task to design dwellings in clusters for the people of Gond tribe and also including community and work spaces of the same. The aim was to design a Vernacular space for low cost similar livelihood and eliminating the sudden change in their life mud plastered wood reinforced Vernacular dwelling for the place easily available materials and similar yet enhanced techniques that they are already using toh build there houses

THE BASIC SSTRUCTURE OF ROOF IS TIMBER AND COVERED WITH REDLAND CLAY TILE. THIS TILES ARE CHEAP AND EASILY AVAILABLE AND ALSO EASY TO MAKE.

SLAB IS MADEWITH ALL TIMBER FRAMED IN A MANNER TO PROVIDE STRENGHTH TO ATTICE. THE TIMBER COVERED WITH BAMBOO MAT AND MUD PLASTERS.

THE COLOUR OF DWELLING IS TRADITIONAL. THESE COLOUR ACT AS COOLING AGENTS DURING SUMMERS THE MAIN REASON IS THE WHITE COLOR IS TO SPOT SNAKES

THE WALLS ARE BASICALLY MUD BUT THE USE OF BAMBOO MAT FOR SMOOTH ELEVATION AND AT LAST PLASTERED WITH NUD AND THE LOAD BREARING IS TIMBER FRAMEWORK

PLINTH IS A MIXTURE OF MUD STRENGHTHN WITH STRAWS FROM PADDY AND OTHER AGRICUTURAL PRACTICES ARE MIXED TO PROVIDE A SMOOTH AND HARD

STONES ARE USED FOR FOUNDATION TO TRANSFER THE LOAD FROM TIMBER TO SOIL
