NIT Hamirpur | Pre final year | selected works 2023 - 2024

Final Year Bachelor of Architecture Student
National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (NITH) | 8.93 CGPA
Hello! I’m a 21-year-old architecture student at NIT Hamirpur, currently in my fourth year. I’m curious about how spaces can tell stories and foster connections. I love exploring the blend of tradition and modernity, drawing inspiration from local cultures and the natural world.
I genuinely want to make a difference by creating spaces that people can truly experience and connect with, not just see. I believe architecture should make people feel like they belong, and that’s the type of work I hope to create—places that invite, inspire, and lift people up.

heritage in Garli’s unique

competition | 2022 - 2023

Abstract : Designing gender neutral spaces.
Garli, a heritage village, is evolving through gender-inclusive initiatives, encouraging women’s participation in public spaces. Design changes, including gender-sensitive signage and sustainable materials inspired by Laurie Baker, aim to create safer environments while preserving the village’s vernacular architecture. This thoughtful development balances tradition with modern needs, fostering an inclusive and sustainable community.

“Plan cities for people and places, not just cars and traffic” — inspired by Fred Kent, Garli’s vision embraces spaces that nurture its people.
Garli is a village rich in heritage, driven by people who take pride in their roots and actively embrace change for a more inclusive society.
Gender equality is central; Garli’s villagers are empowering women through active steps and welcoming inclusive design programs.
Focusing on underrepresented groups creates opportunities for greater representation, nurturing a balanced and self-sustaining community.
Revitalize public zones like chaupals and baithaks to be inviting, safe spaces for women—beyond their homes, fostering connection and ambition.
Implement familiar graphics, colors, and signage that resonate with women, transforming spaces psychologically and visibly.
Merging sustainable materials with Garli’s vernacular charm honors both past and future.
Laurie Baker’s principles guide the village to balance traditional brick and mud architecture with thoughtful, eco-conscious developments.

An illustration of people with diverse abilities in a shared space

Mentor: Dr. Gaurav Raheja, LID, IIT Roorkee
This ongoing project explores integrating universal design principles in real estate to create accessible housing for all. With 2.68 crore individuals in India living with disabilities, there is an urgent need for inclusive spaces that cater to disabled, elderly, and able-bodied individuals. The project focuses on identifying challenges and potential solutions in accessibility within housing. (Work in progress)

Create environments that prioritize accessibility, enabling individuals of all abilities to navigate and engage with their surroundings seamlessly.
The accompanying illustrations, created using Procreate, Illustrator and figma , visually represent the issues faced by multiple stakeholders in real estate and solutions for them.
