Editor’s Letter...

The Autumn season has arrived officially however it feels like we have missed a season! Where was summer? Did anyone see it?? As the nights draw in and the heating goes on, we prepare ourselves for the new season’s events, the Harvest Festival, Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night. Maizie Maze have their ever popular Shriek week and Pumpkin Hunt running through the half term week at the end of October. After the success of their last Halloween Party, Kilham Hall Management committee will be hosting another on Sunday 28th October. Tickets will be available from 1st October at Branton Post Office and are priced at £1.00 per child. I would expect the tickets will go quickly so don't leave it too late as they only have a limited number available. If you are planning your own Guy Fawkes evening, Hydroactive at Branton Garden Centre are once again selling fireworks with their buy one get one free offer. There are also reminders of Christmas with many local venues already offering seasonal events and menus. There is a notice in this month’s Arrow regarding industrial action effecting the Green bin collection over the next few weeks. All of Doncaster is affected, however there are some areas where the recycle boxes, blue and clear bags are affected also.
