[DIS]CONNECTIONS The first analysis of Peter Eisenman’s House VI was based in the disconnections between spaces, by a functional point of view. Looking from the outside, the shape and size of the house suggest that it is well resolved. However, from the inside you can see how things doesn’t work together and are disconnected functionally.

CONCEPTUAL MODEL
The final conceptual model shows how spaces in a house have a rational way of connecting to each other. However, in order to fit in the form proposed by Eisenman, this connections had to be ignored, creating an unusual way to use the house.

[RE]CONNECTIONS In this stage, it was decided to rearrange the spaces in a more functional way, separating the different boxes that form the shape of the building, and then reconnecting them through a hidden tunnel.
1. The first step was to classify the spaces in order of privacy, beginning with the most public space to the most private one. 2. After that, each of them were rotated in decrescent angles, in the same order of privacy. The point chosen to be the origin was the intersection between the two main axis. 3. The final step was to put one space above the other following this sequence.

The volumes were hooked in a cliff, so the exterior view of the building suggests that the boxes are totally disconnected, while actually they are united by a hidden tunnel. The entrance is on the top of the cliff, so the most private spaces are in the bottom of the house, while the most public ones are above.
