This project involved the creation of a day hospital in the municipality of Jalapa, with a comprehensive architectural program that encompasses various areas. These include the lobby and information, administration, outpatient consultation, surgical area, various types of clinical laboratories, imaging, hospitalization for 12 people, emergencies, special rooms, treatment plant, maintenance, laundries, pharmacies, and private areas for on-call doctors. The hospital aims to provide treatment to patients

for a period not exceeding 3 days. The architectural style of this project is characterized by its simplicity, using concrete and brick facades in harmony with the local architecture of Jalapa. The functionality of the space is emphasized, designed to facilitate the transfer of patients along specific routes. The long and wide hallways lead to indoor gardens that add a relaxing touch to hospitalization, thus emphasizing the importance of visual and environmental experience in hospital design.

The hospital is conceived in line with the principles of bioclimatic architecture. To achieve this, the blocks of the areas are elevated transversely to the building, facilitating the entry of natural light and promoting cross-ventilation. Likewise, the use of local materials and vegetation is prioritized to reduce the carbon footprint associated with the building’s construction. In harmony with wellness architecture concepts, strategies are implemented

to create a relaxing environment for patients. Light color palettes are used in the interior architecture, internal gardens are integrated, and other elements are incorporated to make the patient experience more comfortable and welcoming. These approaches not only meet aesthetic criteria but also play a crucial role in improving the emotional state of the patients.

04|Residential Remodeling | San Diego, CA 2024

In my current role, I collaborate in the development of 3D models in Revit for single-family homes in San Diego, California. My involvement begins with interpreting photographs and measurements provided by a local architect, transforming that information into accurate models of the existing architecture.

Within my role, I create detailed 3D models in Revit that reflect both the current conditions and proposed remodels for each project, including and storing the options required by the client.

Zimmerman Model

Additionally, I prepare technical documentation, creating architectural plans for municipal approval, including plans for the existing architecture, demolitions, proposed remodels, and the rest of the plan sets attached (elevations, sections, 3D views, renders, etc.).

My work combines BIM modeling technical skills with an understanding of the design and approval process for residential projects, emphasizing accuracy and efficiency in delivering architectural documentation.

|05 Urban Analysis | Palencia 2023

This project was primarily based on the urban analysis of a municipality undergoing urban expansion. The intervention aimed to boost development opportunities and local commerce in Palencia, with the vision of providing a more promising future for its residents. It is important to note that “Laguna

Monja Blanca” was the selected area for this intervention. In this location, urbanization was carried out for commercial, recreational, and natural tourism purposes, while mobility strategies and economic axes were implemented to promote the creation of a sustainable society.

An exhaustive analysis of Palencia was conducted, covering aspects such as roadways, materials, land use, urban furniture, urban equipment, and other elements that were fundamental for the implementation of the previously outlined urban intervention strategies. Additionally, an urban transect was carried out, involving traversing the main streets

of Palencia to gain a deeper understanding of the environmental, political, and economic situation in the area. This approach allowed for an understanding of the specific needs of the target group involved in the development of Palencia, thus guiding the formulation and execution of this urban project.

Shabby Chick Office | Guatemala 2023

This project focused on the creation of a small office, notably simple. The complexity of this interior design composition lay in designing with a style different from the conventional. In this case, a concept was developed with a light and feminine color palette,

with a light and feminine color palette, in line with the ‘Shabby Chic’ style. To achieve this, elegant furniture with a timeless aesthetic was incorporated, contributing to the creation of a space with a distinctive and refined atmosphere.

Sophisticated decor was employed, primarily in white and pink tones, to highlight the chairs at the ends of the meeting table. Additionally, vegetation was used to complement this color concept.

The steel details are coated with mint-colored paint, which serves as a material and color contrast against the light and sober palette that was applied in the interior concept.

This hotel project posed an interior design challenge by blending various styles within a specific Sherwin Williams color palette called ‘Biome,’ characterized by green and terracotta hues. The incorporated architectural styles were Zen, Savage Soul, and Organic, creating a unique composition.

In particular, the beauty salon, located at the end of the hotel journey, offers personal care services to guests. This space integrates architecture with nature through indoor gardens, color palettes, internal vegetation, and textures consistent with the styles mentioned above.

On the other hand, the hotel includes a lobby area, restaurants, 16 bedrooms, and an amenity space highlighting the pool area and family dining spaces. The renders provide a more detailed vision of the integration of interior architecture with the external landscape, showcasing all the elements of architectural composition.

In conceptualizing these spaces, themes of biophilia, wellness architecture, upcycling, and other concepts were explored, contributing to the design of more intriguing and personality-rich environments. In addition, modern interior design techniques were applied, such as the use of indirect lighting and specialized furniture for each area.
