A dentist from Pembroke, Natsis was drunk when she left the Crazy Horse in Kanata on the fateful night of March 31, 2011. Ontario Court Justice Neil Kozloff said she must have known she had slammed into a vehicle in the parking lot before taking off for Highway 417. Driving erratically and above the speed limit most of the way home, she crossed the westbound lane and slammed into Casey’s eastbound vehicle on Highway 17 on the outskirts of Arnprior. Although both were driving alone, and both had alcohol in their system – Natsis’ was nearly 2.5 times the legal limit – only Casey’s vehicle made any attempt to stop or avoid the collision. .CA

Moments after Dr. Christy Natsis was found guilty in the drunk-driv.COM ing death of Bryan Casey near Arn.COM prior more than three years ago – a case fumbled by OPP investigators – her family took time to thank the legal system and emergency workers. “We are relieved justice is being served,” said Casey’s widow LeeEllen Carroll. “We will never forget the front line responders, and the doctors that did everything they could.” She went on to say she will never forget the look in her children’s eyes when they learned of their father’s death. Nor will the family forget the lengthy court case. “The pain inflicted upon us and our families from the crash and the drawn out court case has left a huge impact on our family. It should not be experienced by others,” Carroll said. “I will never forget the look on
