Daniel development to be ‘sympathetic’ to heritage value Derek Dunn

The controversial proposal to alter an historic property along Daniel Street was the topic of a public meeting on Monday night. Held during the regular Arnprior
council meeting, the session attracted more than half a dozen opponents who came out to register their concerns. Devalued heritage, tree loss and traffic were raised. Town planner Robin Smith explained that the home at 30 Daniel St. North would be converted into three apart-
ments. Another three would be included in an addition that is roughly the same size as the home. Another six semi-detached homes would be built at the back of the property. See OWNERS, page 3
