The Arnprior forum for the four candidates vying to become Renfrew-NipissingPembroke MPP in the provincial election Oct. 6 has changed date and location. The Greater Arnprior Chamber of Commerce has gracefully agreed to move its all-candidates meeting to Thursday, Sept. 22 (from Wednesday) to resolve a conflict with a forum in Renfrew hosted by area teachers. The Arnprior forum has also been
moved from the Nick Smith Centre to Arnprior District High School. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Progressive Conservative candidate John Yakabuski, who opened a campaign office at the Arnprior Mall Wednesday, said he would attend the Arnprior session but not ones focused on one issue, such as the Sept. 21 forum. For more election news, see pages 12 and 13.
