ADDRESSING CLIMATE CHANGE

Armada Hoffler recognizes that physical climate risks are increasing across our planet and we remain committed to reducing our energy and water consumption, as well as greenhouse (GHG) gas emissions.

In 2022, we worked diligently to collect, review, and analyze our emissions data to determine a baseline in order to set reduction targets. We will use the baseline to track our progress against as we continue to assess our exposure to physical climate risk and identify opportunities to reduce our footprint through both portfolio-wide and property-specific solutions.

In support of our commitment, we have outlined our portfolio wide reduction targets, which will be reported on annually.

Our Goals:

Reduce the energy use intensity of the landlord-controlled space 15% by 2032 from 2022 baseline.

Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity of landlord-controlled space 10% by 2032 from 2022 baseline.

Reduce the water use intensity of landlord-controlled space 10% by 2032 from 2022 baseline.

Commit to integrating a renewable energy source into five properties by 2032.
