Arlesey Town Football Club
Jeff Brown It is with the heaviest of hearts that Arlesey Town football club announces the death of our friend, lifetime and dedicated clubman Jeff Brown. Our thoughts at this time are with Jeff’s wife Eileen and all his family and friends.
Jeff began playing for the club in the early 1960’s for our reserve side and it was in the 1963-64 season that Jeff captained the reserves as they won the South Midlands Reserve League . It was also during the late ‘60s that Jeff would help out on the committee and also for a short time became its treasurer. Through the years Jeff would be an Integral part of the committee and club and he would be on hand to do anything that needed tending to at the club, from his hand down a drain to rushing down the club after a reported break in. Jeff won clubman of the year in 1979 and again in 1989. In more recent years Jeff would help out on the turnstile, sell programmes and manage match day finances. He was ever present on match days and commit many hours during the week to jobs at the club. His work and effort was sometimes easily missed but most importantly and without question so vital to the everyday running of our club. Jeff was a wonderful, friendly man who would never question to help anyone or make them feel welcome at the club. His sudden passing has us all in shock and we are eternally grateful for his dedication and commitment during so many years for Arlesey Town Football Club. Above all else we will miss his friendship and his kindness We will miss him so much x

Managerial Change In early November the club decided to part ways with manager Chico Ramos. During the following weeks after the decision, captain Adam Randall took over as interim manager while the club looked for a permanent replacement. We are pleased to announce that Martin Standen took over as manager from mid December. Martin joins us with experience of the SSML, winning the league 3 times , twice as a player at Colney Heath and Royston and another as manager of Bovingdon. He has also played at Stevenage Borough, Hitchin, Cambridge city and Welwyn Garden City. Martin has recently managed Harpenden Town into the top 4 of the SSML and this season has been assistant manager at Bedford Town. Martin says "I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead and taking a big club like Arlesey slowly to where it needs to be. I'd like to thank the chairman and the committee for the opportunity." Joining Martin will be Kaane Fehmi. Kaane has previously played for ourselves, Cambridge City and Hayes & Yeading. He is also a Royston Town legend scoring over 100 goals for the club and winning 2 promotions with them.
