As we approach the big day, Christmas activities are in full swing! Our annual Winter Wonderland canvas competition has seen some fantastic entries. From our nursery children, up to Year 4, we have had lots of pupils take part. We will be announcing the winners of our 3 age groups next week in our school newsletter once they have been judged. Our clubs have been also busy getting festive. Our Year 4 children are currently enjoying Christmas cooking club. So far, they have made Christmas shortbread, Christmas pizza and spiced muffins. As well as learning the practical aspect of cooking, they have been busy writing their ingredients and recipes. Year 1 Winter craft club has seen winter scenes, Christmas tree decorations and even Christmas trees with real chocolate coins on them. Our Year 2 choir did an incredible job of performing at the Arlesey Lights Switch On.

We are also in the process of recording our Christmas performances. We are very excited to be able to show these on our website once they’ve been checked ad edited. The children have learnt Christmas songs, words and movement. They have done very well and it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Thank you to the students from another BEST academy, Samuel Whitbread Academy, for recording and editing this footage.
