Javelinas are not like the typical pig you see on a farm, this native creature is much slenderer and weighs between 40-60 pounds. Javelinas have been known to run as fast as 35 miles per hour. This is impressive as they have just three toes on each hind foot! The majority of their diet consists of insects, roots and fruits; however, their favorite snack is prickly pear cactus and agave.
