Like many of us in the dressage community, I had an early passion for horses and began riding at a young age. I have evented, hunted, and primarily focused on dressage for my professional career, showing many young horses and achieving success regionally and even winning a national championship last fall. This has all been so rewarding, but at the same time lit in me a fire to ride at the top level of the sport and show in the Grand Prix. So many things have to go right in order to make it to that level: you need to have a horse long enough to do the training, and the horse must stay sound enough; however, they often get sold once they are FEI, etc, etc. Really there are so many variables that have to fall into place for it to work out, and this year I have been lucky enough for the planets to align for me!
