EAST VILLAGE RESIDENTIAL

EAST VILLAGE RESIDENTIAL IS A BLOCK SOON TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN DETROIT THAT CONSISTS OF A VARIETY OF SINGLE FAMILY AND MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING. THE PROJECT WAS DESIGNED WITH AFFORDABILITY OF CONSTRUCTION IN MIND. ALL BUILDINGS MAKE USE OF THE SAME SIMPLE FLOOR PLAN, BUT WITH SIMPLE ALTERATIONS RESPONDING TO EACH UNIT’S UNIQUE POSITION ON THE SITE. THE RESULT IS A BLOCK OF HOUSING THAT IS COHESIVE, BUT WHERE EACH PROPERTY IS ABLE TO MAINTAIN ITS OWN INDIVIDUAL IDENTITY.

Hyper-Nuclear-Spa

ENVISIONING A FUTURE INTERSECTION OF GENERATION IV SMALL MODULAR NUCLEAR REACTORS AND THE HYPERLOOP. INSTEAD OF BURYING NUCLEAR WASTE ON NUCLEAR POWER SITES, THE HYPERLOOP ALLOWS FOR A CONSTANT AUTOMATED ARRIVAL OF NUCLEAR FUEL AND DISPOSAL OF SPENT FUEL OVER VAST DISTANCES WITHOUT REQUIRING HUMANS TO INTERACT WITH THE HAZARDOUS CARGO. THE RESULTING NUCLEAR FACILITY NOW ACTS AS A PUBLIC SHOWCASE AND SPA.

A PAVILION FOR THE NEW ARTS CENTER DEVELOPMENT NEAR SUGAR CREEK STATION. CONSTRUCTED OF STEEL PIPE STRUCTURE AND CLAD IN RULED SURFACES COMPOSED OF BRIGHTLY COLORED ROPE AND NETTING.

Metabolist Tower

A PROPOSAL FOR A METABOLIST HIGH-RISE OFFICE TOWER TO ACCOMMODATE CHARLOTTE’S GROWING POPULATION, AND THE INCREASE IN TECHNOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC ACTIVITY IN THE CITY. THE METABOLIST FRAMEWORK ALLOWS FOR A FOCUS ON ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY THAT IS CONNECTED WITH THE URBAN FABRIC OF CHARLOTTE.

El Alto Urban Farming + Community Center

AIMED AT PROMOTING FOOD SECURITY AND PRESERVING CULTURAL TRADITIONS, THIS PROJECT ADDRESSES THE NEEDS OF THE INDIGENOUS POPULATION OF EL ALTO, BOLIVIA. THE CENTER ACTS AS A HUB FOR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC ACTIVITY WHERE TRADITIONAL CUISINE, CLOTHING AND WEAVING CAN BE PRACTICED AND TAUGHT TO YOUNGER GENERATIONS.
