Africa, coined as &8216thedark continent&8217 is eclectic in nature, which can be attributed to our history of &8216whie colonialism&8217whereby our lands were &8216conuered&8217 and native peoples were forcibly removed and granted pieces of their land or barttered land in exchange with the ways and &8216tresures&8217of the Europeans. Natives became either became restricted to practice their culture, traditions, and customs. Or consciously chose to follow the path of &8216whie civilisation&8217 Many lost the ways of tribalism, and the belief in their ancestors to colonialist Christianity, the infiltration of Islam either due to Muslims trekking in Africa or due to slave-trade, whereby Islam became rooted as the dominant religion in many parts of the continent.And with this change in thought, belief, and lifestyle, a once nomadic people settled down either in their lands or on the soils in which they were passing through, acquiring the European languages, and ways of life, whilst their lands were occupied, built up and their minerals possessed. So, with the abolishment of slavery, a new slavery emerged, the reasons &8216wheAfrica laments&82178230. And from the songs for freedom, Africans from North, South, East, West, and Central Africa learnt the songs of joy, they learnt to orate their stories from generation to generation. Africa found her pride, she began to see her worth, and slowly Africa began to fight for her emancipation from the shackles of slavery, which is evident in this promising poetic re-tellings of recognition of a proud people, rich in cultural diversity, who own &8220Thebeauty of Africa&8221 and who acknowledge the blessings of wealth within the animal kingdom, nature&8217sfood sustenance and minerals and landscape beauty.&8220Poeic Songs of Africa&8221 is the
