Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Delhi Police have arrested a Nigerian national from New Delhi in connection with the OCAC CEO and additional secretary of the state Electronics and Information Technology (E&IT) department Manoj Kumar Pattnaik's WhatsApp number hacking case, according to Odisha Additional Director General (ADG) Crime Branch Sanjeeb Panda. The suspect is recognised as Maurice. According to information Maurice has been arrested from a rented house in Delhi. He was already on the Delhi and Odisha police's most wanted list. Maurice, the apprehended suspect, is linked to another Nigerian hacker in Bangalore. According to reports, Nigerian national cyber criminals first hacked another official's WhatsApp account before moving on to Pattnaik's. The cyber thieves' unlawful hacking system is based mostly in Bangalore and Delhi.
