The full card kindly sponsored by Eventmasters who are returning here, once again today. From all the team here at Worcester Racecourse, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and hope all your guests enjoy our hospitality.
Following the recent hot weather, it is fantastic to get a division so this evening we have 8 races with a total of 61 runners; so out on the track will be full of action. Another race meeting which will be full of action and not to miss is our newly branded Family Festival on Sunday 31st August.
There will be fun for all the family; including pony racing, kids entertainment, a Taylor Swift tribute after racing, and most notably, our very first mascot race! All proceeds will be going to Larsens Pride and Midlands Air Ambulance, so it will be well worth entering and getting involved!
Feaststreat are back with us today, serving up some delicious street food to keep you going this evening. You will find their stand within the enclosure with some great food offers to choose from; loaded fries, gourmet burgers, gyros wraps, pulled pork hotdog, stoned baked pizza, to name a few of the possible choices here today!
It is a very exciting time to be a part of Worcester Racecourse, with plenty of growth ahead. If you would like to join us on this journey, we still have plenty of sponsorship opportunities and hospitality available for the remainder or the year, so if this is of interest please do drop us an email at info@worcester-racecourse.co.uk for more details.
Good luck to each and everyone here today. Have a very enjoyable evening with us and hopefully see you again here on the 24th July!
Michael Thomas

Horse & Jockey Welfare at Worcester
Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary
Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse. We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today To find out more about our Equine Welfare policy, please visit our website www.worcester-racecourse.co.uk.
Please help us keep Worcester Racecourse tidy by disposing of your litter and old betting slips in the bins provided.
There is a No Smoking policy at Worcester Racecourse. Would racegoers please note that smoking is not allowed in any enclosed or substantially enclosed areas - this includes e-cigarettes. Please respect the No Smoking signs.
Flash photography is not permitted at any time. Press and commercial photographers may pre-arrange the necessary permission with the Racecourse Office at least 7 days before the race meeting. Press and official photographers’ attention is drawn to the current BHA Instructions. Amateur photographers are only permitted to take photographs in the areas normally open to the public and should not encroach upon areas specifically designated for or used by professional photographers. Professional filming and photography takes place here at Worcester Racecourse for various publications and broadcasting, and racegoers (including families) consent to being filmed, photographed and otherwise recorded by Worcester Racecourse or any third party authorised by Worcester Racecourse, and therefore you grant Worcester Racecourse and any third party authorised by Worcester Racecourse the right to broadcast, publish, licence and use any photographs, film, recordings or images of you without payment or other compensation in any promotional literature produced by Worcester Racecourse.
In the interests of public safety all visitors to the Racecourse should follow directions of the Safety Stewards on the Stands and the Race Day Staff throughout the Racecourse. Please do not leave bags or your possessions unattended at any time as this could cause a security alert. It is an offence to be drunk at a sporting event and for this reason people clearly under the influence of alcohol will be asked to leave the racecourse. Racegoers are requested to be particularly aware of their personal safety in all areas where they come into close contact with the horses, such as the parade ring and the horse walks.
Racegoers are requested not to stand in the marked gangways on the Grandstand Steppings as this will compromise safety
Vehicles On The Course
Please note that several vehicles containing the doctors, vets and officials will be travelling around the Centre Course area during each race. For this reason and in the interests of safety, visitors in the Centre Course enclosure are requested to remain within the defined enclosure.
Wireless Transmitting

Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race.
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope.
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions.
A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in nonhandicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating. For novice steeple chasers, the latest hurdle race rating may be shown until such time as the Handicappers allot a separate steeple chase rating. Such ratings are prefixed by the letter h.

RACE SUMMARY
Each of the trio have realistic prospects but JUBILANT appeals most having stepped forward from his winning chase debut when third in what looked a strong race for the grade over C&D earlier this month. He can make it two wins from 3 starts over fences, with the consistent Davidoc expected to give him most to think about, though chase debutant Paddy De Pole is in good hands for his first try over fences and could yet have more to offer
