Hello everyone and welcome to our bet365 Summer Cup Raceday. Once again, we would like to thank our sponsors of today’s card bet365 for their continued support for this fixture, which is the highlight of the Summer jumping calendar
We have an impressive £210,000 on offer today across our 7 races of which there is £75,000 up for grabs for the big race, the bet365 Summer Cup.
We have an impressive £210,000 on offer today across our 7 races of which there is £75,000 up for grabs for the big race, the bet365 Summer Cup.
We have a strong field of 15 entered for the feature race with last year’s winner, Hang in There’, returning, heading the weights and hoping for a double and becoming the first horse to win the cup twice.
The keen eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have moved our racecard around today. With the warm weather forecast we have made the decision, with the help of the BHA, to start earlier and run with our longer races at the beginning of the card, with distances diminishing as we go through the races, as we see (forecasted) temperatures rising through the afternoon
Our next fixture is our ST14 residents evening on Tuesday 8th July, where anyone who has an ST14 postcode can apply for 2 free tickets for the fixture on our website.
The social event of the year, Ladies Day, is just 4 weeks away on Friday 25th July. The advance ticket sales are the best they’ve ever been with only a handful of spaces left in hospitality and very close to selling out of Premier Enclosure tickets. Make sure you get your tickets now to avoid disappointment on what will be our biggest and best Ladies Day yet.
I hope you have a great day today and thank you for supporting us here at Uttoxeter Racecourse.
Good luck

Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary. Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today.
