Evacuation
If an incident occurs which is beyond our control, it is important that you are aware of how we intend to look after you in the event of an emergency.
As part of our Safety management, we have employed professionally trained and experienced stewards and you will see them at various points throughout the racecourse. In the event of a situation, which requires partial or full evacuation of the stands or racecourse, announcements will be broadcast and stewards will undertake the responsibility of ushering you to a place of safety; it is essential that you follow their instructions. Please take your immediate belongings with you and proceed out of the area quickly and calmly with the guidance of the stewards The evacuation procedures have been carefully planned to lead you to a safe area Should it be necessary to evacuate the course itself, there will be two main options; firstly to return to your vehicles if safe to do so and leave via the main entrance Secondly, should it not be safe to return to your vehicles, you will be requested to leave via emergency evacuation gates, onto the racecourse itself, where you will receive further instructions. It may give you peace of mind if you pre plan and agree a meeting place, just in case you become separated from your party. The above is precautionary only and we trust that the procedures will never be required. However, in the event of an emergency, remember;
• Take your belongings with you.
• Under the directions of the stewards, proceed quickly and calmly to the safe area.

Star Ratings Explained
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below: S Br
HHHHH Selected to win the race
HHHHI Good chance of being placed
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims.
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions
A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in nonhandicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating For novice steeple chasers, the latest hurdle race rating may be shown until such time as the Handicappers allot a separate steeple chase rating Such ratings are prefixed by the letter h.

Felinfoel Rugby Football Club – 150 Years of Blood, Sweat & Glory
The 2025/2026 season sees Felinfoel RFC proudly mark the club’s 150th year. Nestled in the rugby mad town of Llanelli, Felinfoel is a village club with a mighty history of passion, pride and a legacy that runs deep. Wearing the iconic black and white, Felinfoel RFC has stood the test of time through tough times and triumphs and against an ever-changing landscape, it has stayed loyal to the principles that make rugby such a fantastic sport. It is a club that has been held together by community, comradery and tradition. It is a club that has enjoyed plenty of success on the field and seen lifelong friendships forged off it and that is what we think rugby is all about. Founded in 1876, Felinfoel RFC is one of the oldest clubs in West Wales and embodies the spirit of Welsh rugby. It has produced a wealth of Youth and Senior International Players over the years, including none other than rugby legend Phil Bennett who went on to captain Llanelli RFC, Wales, the Barbarians and the British Lions and who was the Club’s President for many years.
Today, the Club has a thriving junior section, a talented Youth Team, the Brewer’s Development Team and the Club’s ‘Frist XV’ which competes in Division 1 West of the Welsh National League. It is safe to say the club is in safe hands.
As we club celebrate our 150th year, we honour everyone who has worn the jersey, stood on the touchline, worked tirelessly behind the scenes or supported the club in any way, regardless of how small. It’s the collective effort that makes the club what it is. Whilst people often say ‘times change’, we believe that core rugby values don’t, and it is those values that the club has been built on. So here’s to the past, the present, and to the many years to come. The future is bright; the future is Black and White.
On behalf of Felinfoel RFC, we hope that everyone at Ffos Las as a fantastic day and picks a few winners along the way!
