Al Basti Equiword, Dubai the UAE’s leading distributor or horse feeds and supplements proudly sponsors the Owners & Trainers facilities at Bath Racecourse
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, and a very warm welcome to
Bath Racecourse!
We’re absolutely delighted to have you with us today for what promises to be a fantastic raceday, filled with thrilling action, great food and drink, and a brilliant atmosphere.
First and foremost, we’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to today’s sponsors BetWright, Blackmore Building Contractors, Wight Event Hire, and Bath Rugby. Their generous support not only makes today’s racing possible but also helps us continue delivering top-quality events here at Bath. We are truly grateful for their commitment.
Our grounds team have worked tirelessly, late into last night and early this morning, to ensure the track is ready for racing. The rail has been moved to provide fresh ground, and while conditions may prove testing, we look forward to a competitive afternoon. Before the main card, two pony races will add to the excitement, showcasing some of the most talented young riders in the country perhaps even future stars of British racing.
We are especially looking forward to the Sprint and Stayers Series finals, each worth £35,000. These races have been fiercely contested through qualifiers across the season, and today’s finals bring the very best performers together. With so much at stake, both races promise to provide fitting climaxes to two highly competitive series.
Should the weather take a turn, we’re pleased to let you know that our Paddock Pavilion Marquee will be open as a wet weather bar, offering shelter and refreshments for all racegoers. If you’re looking to stay dry and enjoy a drink, please make your way there and make full use of this covered space.
We’re also thrilled to welcome a fantastic selection of Best of Bath local businesses today. With a variety of stalls spread across the site, we encourage you to explore, discover, and support the amazing local talent and craftsmanship Bath has to offer.
If you’re looking to enhance your raceday experience, we have upgrades available in both our Royal Crescent Restaurant and our Roof Garden. For more information or to book an upgrade, please visit our Customer Service Conservatory, where a member of our team will be happy to assist you.
Looking ahead, don’t miss our Beckford Stakes Raceday and Property & Construction Raceday on Wednesday, 9th October. We’ll be hosting a special networking event in the Royal Crescent Restaurant, with tables still available. If you’d like to join us, please get in touch at info@bath-racecourse.co.uk – our team will be happy to help.
We’re also excited to introduce our brand-new Brunch at Bath package, available at our remaining October fixtures This exclusive experience offers a relaxed and delicious way to enjoy our hospitality boxes – and we still have availability throughout the month. Be sure to book early and treat yourself to a special day at the races.
On behalf of the entire team here at Bath Racecourse, thank you once again for joining us. We hope you have a wonderful afternoon and evening, and the very best of luck if you’re having a flutter!
Hannah Chree Executive Director

surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse. We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today. HORSE AND JOCKEY WELFARE AT BATH
Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. On duty todaywe also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualifiedVets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout theirtime at the racecourse. The locations andvehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to anyincident across the site.
Son of Astar wasn’t seen to best effect when a creditable third at Ffos Las but likely remains in form and could prove the main danger in first-time cheekpieces, while Marcus finished ahead of Coco Hill on heavy ground at Chepstow and has claims if he can back up that performance.

Now sixty rings, and still hearts swell For the boy in the man we call Phil Bell.
