On behalf of everyone at Bath Racecourse, I’m delighted to extend a very warm welcome to you for this evening’s exciting racing fixture. It’s always a pleasure to welcome racegoers to our beautiful course, and we’re thrilled to have you with us today.
I’m Hannah, the Executive Director of this stunning venue, and I’ll be on site throughout the day. If you spot me and feel like saying hello, please do, I always enjoy meeting our guests and hearing what brought you to Bath today.
We are incredibly grateful to our valued sponsors - Betwright, Ryano Plant, the European Breeders’ Fund, and Weatherby’s. Your generous support plays a vital role in making days like today possible. Your continued commitment to British racing and our local community is truly appreciated.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to share details of two major highlights in our summer calendar. Our much-anticipated double-header weekend is fast approaching, promising a fantastic weekend of back-to-back racing and entertainment. Firstly, on Saturday 13th September, we host our ever-popular Cider Night, featuring delicious food and drink, fun for all ages, and fantastic live music from The Wurzels.
Following this, on Sunday 14th September, we launch a brand-new event: the Best of Bath Raceday. This special afternoon celebrates our beautiful city and showcases a wonderful selection of stalls from fantastic local businesses - alongside another thrilling day of racing. Both events offer a superb mix of entertainment and racing, and while tickets are selling fast, we’re pleased to confirm that hospitality packages are still available for both dates. For more information, please visit our website or speak to a member of our team today.
Back to today’s racing - out of the runners this evening, 13 are returning course winners, adding to the excitement as we welcome many Bath regulars back to the track. We’d like to congratulate trainer Adrian Wintle on last week’s victory with Blue Hero, who now holds the record for the most wins in Bath Racecourse history A huge thank you also goes to all the Owners and Trainers who have chosen to run their horses here this season - your support is sincerely appreciated, and we wish you continued success
If you’d like to elevate your raceday experience, we still have availability in our stunning Winning Post Reserve, which offers fantastic views of both the Parade Ring and the finishing line. Upgrades are also available for the Paddock Pavilion and Royal Crescent Restaurants—please speak to our Customer Services team, who will be happy to assist.
Lastly, we would like to remember an important member of our community – our well-loved trainer Bill Turner Our condolences are extended to his family and friends, and all of those in our community effected by his passing. We would like to remember Bill by holding a two-minute silence at 5:30pm – please join us at the Parade Ring to remember Bill and all of the wonderful memories he has given us.
Thank you once again for joining us today. We hope you have a fantastic evening and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
Hannah Chree Executive Director

We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.
