Who needs architectural visualization?

Why is 3D rendering important while designing furniture?

Understanding the 3D visualization process

Do you use design software to realize your professional projects?

Are you in contact with customers and prospects?

Do you want to add value to your design projects commercially?

Then this article is for you!

What is 3D rendering?

It is a process of HD visual representation in 3 dimensions that allows you to illustrate a design project realistically.

3D rendering brings your projects to life with realistic images in which many details have been added: shadows, specific lighting, textures, set-in space, movement effects, etc. It allows you to transform the technical details of a project into a visual treatment that is pleasing to the eye.

Why use 3D rendering?

There are many rendering software on the market. And if there are so many of them, it’s because there is a real need for them!

3D rendering allows you to enhance your existing CAD data. These renderings are useful internally in your company and for your external customers.

iCOMMENT

1 – Within your company

3D rendering fits perfectly into your internal digital creation chain. Not everyone is familiar with design software and technical data. With the renderings, all the departments of your company (design office, marketing, sales, technical support, training, etc.) can easily reuse them for their needs.

2 – Externally with your customers and prospects

The presentation of a project is an important phase because the clients and prospects you have in front of you are not always engineers or designers. They need to understand what they are ordering. Without 3D renderings, some projects remain too technical for them to interpret and appreciate their true value.

3D rendering, therefore, has significant commercial potential for companies that use design. It allows you to captivate your clients and prospects because it gives a precise idea of your project in its final environment. Your customers and prospects have a better perception of the sizes and volumes in the space and the combinations of materials and colors. It, therefore, increases the chances of realizing your project because it represents it in its entirety. The 3D rendering is therefore an undeniable asset.

The Art of Residential 3D Visualization

Benefits of using 3D Renders for Interior Design

The biggest advantage of using 3D interior renderings is that they act as a graphic tool that provides the client with an accurate preview of what the project will look like before it’s completed in the real world. These photorealistic representations of your design will facilitate clear and timely client communications, optimizing your workflow and strengthening your overall customer service. Additionally, you can use captivating 3D rendering images to show prospective clients what your company can really do without having to wait for construction to be completed. Use 3D renders to showcase your design portfolio, promote your brand and perpetuate your presence in the online marketplace.

Remember, 3D renderings can display any elements the interior designer can think of, including lighting, color schemes, furniture, appliances, fixtures, textures, patterns, curtains, carpets, wallpapers, paints, art, materials, and countless other décors. A skilled 3D render shows how each of these physical elements interacts with each other to bring a unique design vision to life. Not only that, but when executed correctly a 3D render has the capacity to capture a living moment in time. This allows the designer to take the client on a journey into their design inspiration, conveying every detail of their vision, down to the specific mood and atmosphere of the space. Other benefits of using 3D interior design renders include:

•You can start your project immediately. You don’t have to wait for construction to be done or for materials and resources to arrive. Start a prompt and interactive feedback communication process with your clients as soon as you present them with your 3D interior render.

3D interior renders are precise. They allow you to transmit your ideas accurately and they allow clients to communicate their feedback effectively.

•3D interior renders are a cost-effective sales and marketing tool. They act as an adaptable sales and marketing tool, giving you the ability to share your design ideas through traditional magazine and print media methods as well as through any other modern digital media methods. Because of this, they simultaneously promote your business’ productivity and profitability.

How to add value to your Interior Design Project with a 3D Rendering

One of the best ways to add value to your interior design project is by providing your clients with a customized state-of-the-art 3D rendering. Although many companies purport to offer these services, it can be difficult to find one that offers brilliant images that reflect your design elements with photorealistic authenticity. In order to ensure that your 3D renderings stand out from the rest, the rendering team that you choose should thoroughly understand all the intricate details of your design vision in order to create an accurate depiction of your project.

Lighting Design. The Law Of Attraction.

Lighting Design. An active calculated component of Architecture. Custom Lighting Design.

Light is an active calculated component of the architecture. Lighting should be subordinate to architecture and should enhance the experience of people within the lit space. Lighting design is partly a mathematical process and partly a series of assumptions based on the needs of the user. Taking a priceless piece of ART for example and transforming it so the client sees it in a different way, is a result of a tremendous amount of work and research, where the lighting scenario will allow the artwork to take center stage.

How does lighting design affect the overall design result?

Since very early times, the wonder of color has played an important role in the human approach to the exterior experience of the world. In nature, color is considered a key characteristic. Its main reference is however to the aesthetics of the outside appearance of things, not to the visible expression of their substance because Western culture relates substance to shape and it conceives measurement, meaning geometry, as one of the most effective instruments in the knowledge of the physical world.

As an architectural interior designer, who designed commercial residential and major hospitality projects, I realized from the beginning of my career that the right exposure to the visual stimulations of the interior environment played a major impact on the success of the overall result. But nothing was looking as good as it was on my rendering computer screen when I was delivering my project. The need for a custom lighting designer to illuminate correctly my work was imperative.

I was so excited watching how a calculated lighting scenario could change the overall result of my work that soon after I found myself studying mathematical lighting calculations and lighting design techniques and I turned out to be a very passionate lighting design specialist.

I am studying something new every day because lighting design is an engineering science with endless abilities and applications. It’s a science that needs discipline patience and much intelligence. Every project is a new adventure.

Every project is a new challenge. The great result is beneficial for the owner of the project as much as it is for the architectural and interior design team. Adds VALUE to the project.

The great result has to do with how well the colors of the interior design materials and visual stimulations are perceived by the eyes of the guests.

While restaurants, ice cream parlors, cafes, and every other establishment in the F&B industry compete with each other using location, prices, and promotions, very few take the win from the margin of their interior design. Most people do not know this, but the restaurant interior design impacts customer psychology prompts them to order more or less, and even impacts the duration of their stay in the restaurant. Seating options, light, music, and architecture, all constitute a restaurant’s interior design. Here is a guide on how you can influence your customer’s psychology using interior design in restaurants and some brilliant restaurant interior ideas that you can use at your outlet.

Importance Of Interior Design In Restaurants

Restaurant interior design must be a must for any establishment since the way your restaurant looks will be crucial to your branding. Your interior design is the first thing that your customer will notice as he/she walks through the doors. This first impression will dictate how they perceive your brand, what level of service they expect, what kind of time they anticipate, and if they want to come back. Thus, the importance of interior design cannot be underplayed. Here are some reasons why restaurant interior design is so important:-

•Restaurant Interior design in restaurants is crucial to the branding strategy. The way a restaurant looks impacts how the customers perceive the restaurant concept and if they consider it a good enough place to eat at.

Shabby or very bright interiors will form a negative impression on the customers and potentially make them leave even before they eat. An ideal restaurant design idea would be to use natural light to its fullest to make sure your place is more Instagrammable.

•In the age of Instagram, interior design is your restaurant’s silent salesman. Everybody wants to post where they have been all day, and if your restaurant looks Instagramable, it will make it to your customer’s feed and entice their entire follower list.

•Good interior design means marketable interior design. You can use your interior design for marketing your restaurant among your target customers. If there is something unique about your interiors, make it public. People love to think that they are a part of something unique and would flock to your restaurant.

•Most importantly, interior design in restaurants impacts customer psychology. You can make your customers order more, eat fast, drink more, stay less, etc. all using interior restaurant ideas.

1. Architecture And Design

Architecture and design are essential aspects of restaurant interior design. The way you design the inside of your restaurant and place all your elements plays an integral role in defining the look and feel of your restaurant. It also has a significant influence on customer experience because it includes planning the layout of your restaurant. How spacious your restaurant will feel, how claustrophobic it will get during rush hours, and how comfortable it will be to walk around without bumping into people or crashing into tables, all of this dependent on the restaurant layout. It makes no sense for your joint to be beautiful if your servers cannot serve well, and customers cannot feel comfortable in their own space. The floor plan of your restaurant must be such that there is individual space for every person seated. If you are a fine dining restaurant, 20 sq feet area per seat is ideal; however, for a QSR 10 sq feet area is considered perfect.

Lighting is an essential part of your restaurant’s interior design. It does not make any sense for you to have everything perfect if the light is so off that it kills the effect. Technically there are three types of lighting- Ambient, Task, and Accent lighting.

Ambient lighting defines the overall look and feel of your restaurant. Is your restaurant dimly lit or is it bright and heavy on the lights, this is the light that defines it. Fine dining restaurants usually use dim ambient lighting to create a relaxing mood and aura. As they serve customers in a way that pushes them to linger, and so order more, this atmosphere is perfect. QSRs, on the other hand, must be well-lit. The idea for them is for customers to come, eat fast and go. Bright lights induce that behavior, so the customers don’t keep lingering around. Task lighting is the light used for performing tasks. These are the lights that enable servers to work and customers to read the menu and order. This light is to be used strategically so that it does not kill the objective of the ambient light, but at the same time performs its function well, especially in fine dining restaurants. You can use it to highlight pathways or incorporate it by putting it on some unique features like sushi bars or minibars to highlight them. Accent lights are lights used for that extra touch but mostly for decorative purposes. There you can experiment with it, but most wall lighting in this area is received better than overhead lighting. You can use these lights to reinforce the colors of your brand as well but don’t overdo it, or else it will kill the purpose. As a restaurant owner and not an interior designer, you may feel that all these lights are just the same. True, there is not much of a difference between the three for the untrained eye, but if misused, the result can be a nightmare.

3. Colors

Colors believe it or not play a huge role in your restaurant interior design. The main thing that impacts what colors you must use in your restaurant is your target clientele. Different colors trigger different emotions and set different moods. Some colors stimulate diet while others repress it. Warm colors like red and orange are considered potent stimulants, so a lot of restaurants try to use red in their interior.

Fine dining restaurants aim for a mood where customers would want to linger as opposed to QSRs and so it makes colors like blue or turquoise ideal for them. QSRs, on the other hand, need customers to order more and eat fast, thus making warm shades suitable for them.

First, What Is Cosmopolitan Interior Design?

Cosmopolitan interior design is an urban modern design style featuring varied patterns, colors, and textures. This design theme can include minimalist modern elements, edgy, experimental designs, glamorous chic, and ethnic heirlooms, all colliding in a 21st-century setting. Larger furniture pieces, like couches and beds, tend to be low-profile and uniformly sleek. Decorative accents, such as mirrors, pillows, and end tables, usually demand creative expression with elegant geometric designs and vintage pieces with traditional embellishment.

COZIFY YOUR LIVING ROOM

When it comes to bringing cosmopolitan style to your living room, design update ideas to consider include changes in carpeting, flooring, and lighting.

Transitional Enclosed Carpeting

This type of carpeting style involves enclosed or full floor carpets, featuring two or more patterns, geometrical designs, and colors. Transitional enclosed carpeting adds drama to a modern living room.

Trendy White Flooring

Start designing your cosmopolitan living room by changing your old tiles to large white tile flooring for a neutral base. You might want to consider terrazzo flooring. Terrazzo is a highly durable flooring material, impervious to stains and water damage.

Install Luxury Lighting

For a cozy living room, invest in luxury lighting fixtures with transitional design elements. A white linen shade pendant light with a brushed nickel finish is graceful and charming. Add Lush Pillows and Throws

To achieve a cosmopolitan look, choose geometrical patterns and bold colors for lush pillows.

The following pages are ARCON’S DESIGN COMPANY treasure. It is intended as a tool not only for the consumer but also for those seeking inspiration in their own design work.

Design since the millennium has witnessed a liberating pluralism, and for the past years, the design community has been in a state of flux, with no one style or trend being dominant. There has been a slow breaking down of the barriers between disciplines, cultures, roles, and skills: this is a period in which there is a place for craft-based, low-tech, individualistic approaches, as well as for mass-produced high-tech.

The concept of ‘’design for all “ introduces trends that have grown steadily in recent years: the increased democratization of design, the rise of superficial styling, and the birth of the design personality steadily in recent years. As we often explain to our clients: materials are the character actors of the projects. In today’s globalized, rootless world, design needs history more than ever.

We can create a new design history at every point level. Remarkable new trend ideas can transform our everyday life, but we must produce only what can improve life, and what can make this world a better place. If you want information about these unique materials do not hesitate to ask.

HOW TO MAKE CHEESY BAKED CHICKEN WITH MUSHROOMS:

Preheat the oven to 375° then lightly grease an 8 x 8 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside. Whisk the eggs in a shallow bowl then add the breadcrumbs to a second shallow bowl. Cut the chicken into about 1 1/2″ size pieces and slice the mushrooms.

Dip the chicken into the eggs then roll them in the breadcrumbs to completely coat and transfer to wax paper. Add one tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of butter to a large skillet over medium heat then drop in the sliced mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the mushrooms are golden. In the same skillet over medium heat, pour in the wine and chicken stock. Bring to a boil and cook for 3-5 minutes or until the liquid is reduced. Be sure to scrape up any brown bits – they’re extra flavor!

Pour the liquid evenly over the cheesy chicken then bake uncovered for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Cooking time will vary depending on the exact size of the chicken pieces.

ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN GUIDE

THE BREAKERS PALM BEACH

One of America’s most iconic resorts, The Breakers is an Italian Renaissance-style hotel situated on 140 acres of oceanfront property on the island of Palm Beach, Florida. Founded in 1896 by magnate Henry M. Flagler, and still in the hands of his heirs today, this legendary destination continues to thrive independent of chain affiliation. Each year, an investment averaging $25 million in capital improvements and ongoing revitalization, carefully balances preservation & modernization.

Some grand dames prefer to hide their age, but The Breakers In Palm Beach, which bills itself as the oldest continuously operating business in Florida, undeniably looks better than ever at 125. The Breakers was once The Palm Beach Inn

It was known as The Palm Beach Inn when founder Henry Flagler first opened the oceanfront hotel in 1896. But before long, wealthy Gilded Age visitors think Vanderbilts and Actors wanted to stay “down by the breakers (waves)” so it was renamed in 1901.

It is remarkable that The Breakers so quickly rivaled in popularity Flagler’s first renowned Palm Beach resort hotel the now-gone 1894-built Royal Poinciana, which was once the largest wooden hotel in the world.

esign

During World War II, The Breakers, with its wide hallways and spacious elevators, was chosen to be retrofitted as an army hospital.

On Sept. 10, 1942, it became the U.S. Army’s Ream General Hospital, where thousands of servicemen and women recuperated from wounds and illnesses during the war. Visitors included Eleanor Roosevelt and then-Sen. Harry Truman (later elected president).

More than a dozen babies, known as “Breakers Babies,” were born at the hotel-turned-hospital. In May 1944, the U.S. Army returned The Breakers to its owners.

A rare privately owned resort

The Breakers of the 21st century stands as one of relatively few privately owned resorts independent of chain affiliation in the country. With 538 rooms and suites, numerous restaurants, a beach club, golf, tennis, a spa, a fitness center, and shopping, the resort hotel is owned by Flagler System Inc., which includes Flagler’s heirs.

According to the hotel’s officials, an average of $25 million is annually reinvested in capital improvements, which include revitalization projects and historical preservation.

What to Expect When Working with an architectural Interior designer.

An interior designer will help turn your vision into reality by analyzing your requirements and then producing functional and creative solutions to meet them. ‘They are there to help you realize your dream and ask all the right questions,’ says celebrity interior designer, Marianna Holoway. ‘A good designer has this ability to get into someone’s head; helping them to achieve the full potential of the space and ensure it's functional, inclusive and, of course, stylish.’

As well as being skilled in pulling together decorative schemes, designers have access to an exhaustive list of suppliers and will often have trade accounts, meaning they can pass on cost savings to you. And while you could spend weeks ordering swatches and samples online or in stores, an interior designer will have fabric, paint, and wallpaper sample books for you to look through, or will order relevant samples on your behalf.

But perhaps the most important skill an interior designer has is giving an honest and impartial opinion. You can become blinkered in your own home, whereas a designer will look at it with a fresh set of eyes. ‘A qualified interior designer will open your eyes to ideas and possibilities you might not have thought of, making the design process inspirational, educational, and rewarding.

The amount your interior designer does really depends on you and your budget. You may just want help with mood boards or product suggestions and be happy to source everything and oversee the decorating and styling process yourself.

At the other end of the scale, an interior designer can do everything from the creation of CGIs to show you how the finished room will look, to lighting plans, sourcing of materials and furniture, and working with the builders and decorators.

Poetry was the way I channeled the hardest days and the most dreadful nights into something I could reflect on. There was so much torturing my mind, I needed a safe place to write it down and let it go. After journaling all my inner, deepest and unacceptable truths of myself, it was suddenly easier to move on from it. I feel like a lot of us choose to ignore things that challenge us, make us sad or feel something unwanted. But the reality of it all is that with ignorance there never comes acceptance; therefore, your mind will keep circling around the same thing you wanted to forget. If it wasn't for my best friends, I would have never recognized that running eventually gets so tiring that you end up drowning when you stop. They were the ones who also taught me that you shouldn't stop loving so deeply just because love isn't all you were given. Instead of running, learn! Instead of ignoring, accept!

Instead of hating, forgive! Instead of fear, choose hope! That's what this unexpected path showed me. And once I let go of all those negative, triggering, miserable feelings and thoughts, I was clear of what I needed and wanted from that day on. So, then, I found it!

This book is still hard for me to share, as there's parts of me I never even wanted to let others see. But after a while of talking about these difficult times and topics, I realized we're kind of all similar and maybe more people than I know of will find this book helpful, relatable and empowering. Cause there's indeed light at the end of every tunnel. We just must keep going till we reach it.
