We operate a rail freight network that stretches more than five thousand kilometres across Western Australia. From the Midwest across to the Goldfields and all the way down to the South West, the network we manage connects local businesses and industries with eastern states and overseas markets.

Learning and Development
HOW WE IMPROVE
Our employees have access to a wide range of professional development opportunities and training.
Some of the training we provide is Nationally Accredited, meaning the qualification you obtain can be taken to any role in any company in Australia. It’s one way Arc shows that we want to invest in the development of our employees and build on the skills they have.
Arc is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code: 52051) and we’ve chosen to train our employees internally, because it allows us to control and contextualise our material, assessments and examples to be rail specific and wherever possible, to be relevant to Arc and the needs of our business. It means we can cater what we’re doing to directly match what our people need.
We also offer Safeworking training, which is a requirement for anyone who will be entering the Rail Corridor to make sure they understand the risks, hazards and how to work safely. This training links into our Track Access Permit process, allowing people to access the Network safely.
We have also recently initiated a Supervisor program with the help of an internal Leadership Specialist. We are passionate about developing our people to be the best they can be, and work hard to provide options for learning and growth.

A HEALTHIER YOU
Building and maintaining a healthy & happy workplace is one of the ways in which we support our people. Not only does it improve life and our culture, it also supports performance and productivity.

ANNUAL HEALTH & WELLBEING SUBSIDIES
Arc offers annual health & wellbeing subsidies to help increase your physical activity, reduce the cost to employees and to improve your mental health.
We offer the following subsidies:
• Health & Wellbeing Subsidy (up to $299) – more information can be found on page 18
• Flu Vaccination (up to $30)
• Skin Cancer Checks – Arc engages a professional screening service to come to our Perth Airport office and offer a reimbursement to employees who work remotely (up to $80).
All subsidies can be claimed through ExpenseMe Pro which can be found in the ‘Internal Links’ through The Depot (Arc’s Intranet).
ERGONOMIC ASSESSMENTS
Aches, pains, fatigue, and other problems can take a toll on an employee. Ergonomic assessments can help eliminate such issues and create a work environment that not only enhances an employee’s physical well-being but also boosts their efficiency and output.
Arc can arrange a desk or work car ergonomic assessment for you if required. To access this, please speak to your Supervisor in the first instance who can then refer you through to the Health & Wellbeing Partner.

TRACK MATES – ARC’S PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM
The goal of Track Mates is to build on our mental wellbeing support base and provide our people with an additional way to have an important conversation.
The Track Mates are Arc workers from across the business, in different regions and roles, who have undergone training with Lifeline WA on providing support, listening and linking in with services.
You can find the names of our current Track Mates on the Health and Wellbeing page on The Depot. To contact a Track Mate, you can send an email, give them a call or reach out in person.
COMPANY PAID PARENTAL LEAVE
We make continued payments to help families take time off work to care for their bundle of joy.
A Primary Carer (PC)s can access paid parental leave of twenty (20) weeks at full pay or forty (40) weeks at half pay.
Non-Primary Carer (NPC)s can access paid parental leave of six (6) weeks at full pay.
If a NPC becomes the PC within the initial twelve (12) month Parental Leave period, they are entitled to paid PC parental leave minus any paid parental leave entitlements they have already received.
For example, a NPC has taken 6 weeks of paid parental leave, but then transitions to be a PC within the first 12 months. The paid PC parental leave would now be calculated as:
20 weeks paid PC Parental Leave
-6 weeks paid NPC Parental Leave
14 weeks paid PC Parental leave remaining

Health & Wellbeing Subsidy
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE
Arc Infrastructure values and promotes employee’s health and wellbeing. Arc provides an annual $299 subsidy to our Full-time, Part-time and Fixed term employees (contracted to a minimum of 12 months) to spend on approved activities that directly relates to improving individual health and wellbeing.

Employees will need to provide consultation paperwork, invoice, receipt or membership to submit their claim. Claims are processed through ExpenseMe Pro and will go to your Manager for approval.

*The Health and Wellbeing Subsidy cannot be accumulated from one calender year to the next, meaning any unused subsidy at the end of a calender year will be forfeited.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides professional counselling for all employees, their partners and dependent children to help resolve personal and work related problems.
The counselling service provided by the EAP is:
• confidential
• voluntary
• staffed by professional and experienced psychologists
• available for employees, partners and dependant
• children
• provided by the company at no cost to you
• available after hours
Seeking counselling at an early stage can often prevent a relatively minor concern developing into a major problem. If you are not sure whether counselling would help your problem you can telephone to discuss your concerns before making an appointment.

Vivo Virtual Care Services
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE

The services offered are mental health support, grief support, nutrition consults, fitness consults and expert medical opinions through mental health clinicians, exercise physiologists, dietitians, paediatricians and GPs for general questions for quick and easy access.

All services are discreet and confidential. The insurance provider/ employer will not receive, nor request any medical reports from Vivo Virtual Care regarding members.
Vivo Virtual Care will encourage the member to share their assessment and recommendations with their treating GP and, with the member’s consent will share it directly with their GP.

Arc employees and their immediate family (this includes your children, partner, parents, and partner’s parents).
The Mental Health Navigator can only be accessed by members who are over 18 and can assist or guide parents with children to other community services.
HOW TO GET STARTED?
First, you will have to create an account by selecting ‘Sign Up’.
After selecting what service you would like to use through Vivo Virtual Care, a consultant will make contact with you for the next steps and further communications. Steps for each service are outlined on their website.
For the Expert Medical Opinion or Mental Health Navigator you will have the opportunity to upload your medical records via a secure link for the health professionals to review (if required).

Income Protection Cover
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE
Income Protection provides a replacement income in the event of an illness or injury that prevents you from being able to perform your usual occupation. This policy is granted on commencement at Arc following a waiting period of 90 days.
The policy covers all permanent and fixed term employees working at least 15 hours per week and aged under 65.
The policy also provides additional benefits such as an “Advance payment for Specific Injury” where you may be eligible for an immediate lump sum payment should you suffer one of the listed events relating to these additional benefits. Employees are safeguarded against loss of income in the event they cannot work for an extended period of time due to personal sickness or injury for a benefit period of up to two (2) years.
Employees are covered up to 75% of their base salary plus super.
The policy provides protection whether you are working or not, with coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, worldwide.
