Helping Students Get Where They Want to Go The College Counseling Department focuses on the strengths of each individual student, making every effort to help students find a challenging collegiate environment that will make them better students as well as match their individual personalities and career goals.

1. Take the Entrance/Scholarship Exam. If you have a conflict with the Saturday testing date, an alternate date is offered. A $40 registration fee is payable on the day of the exam. Preregistration is necessary. Results are sent within two weeks after the exam.

The Department also provides a comprehensive resource for parents as they assist their children in the college search. The office meets with students and parents in the junior year in both individual and group conferences, provides a bi-monthly college exploration seminar, and offers access to the leading web-based college advisement system. In the students’ senior year, individual conferences continue, presentations are made by 100+ colleges, the office assists with the preparation of academic profiles, and all completed applications are reviewed and mailed by the Counseling Department.

2. Complete an application for admission. A complete application includes an official transcript of the student’s grades and completion of two ADVIS Recommendation Forms. There is a nonrefundable application fee of $50.
