I am Poras Bhesania, and my aspiration is to become a certified architect. I am a third year student in the Bachelors of Architectural Science Program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
My journey in architecture started with my passion for fashion design, music, and art which I believe brings a unique perspective to my approach in the field. I often draw parallels between these two and for doing the design of spaces.
Being an architecture student at TMU has not only equipped me with technical skills but has also offered a deeper understanding of the built environment.
I am ready to further develop my skills by working alongside industry leaders and at the same time contribute to the firm’s ongoing portfolio.

RHINO, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR, ADOBE PHOTOSHOP & ENSCAPE| FALL 2O22
The Warp Library Center is a dynamic educational facility that specializes in urban gardening and agriculture. Along with its wrap-around balconies on each level, the 3x3 concrete structure expresses connectivity between the indoor and outdoor environments. As you enter the library through the courtyard into the triple height atrium space. On the upper level is kept the library's extensive agriculture collection, and the lowest level provides accessible, flexible community programs. Overall the dynamic design elements include a facade that offers shade in the daytime, the balconies that extend a space of solitude, and the access to the green roof that promotes agriculture readings.

The Stanley Duplex’s goal is to make maximum use of space in tight laneways commonly seen in Toronto while developing livable spaces for it’s residents. The key concepts applied in this project is the flow of shadows and light enriching the indoor experience. An immersive technique is used here whereby the terraces on each level elevate the residents' experience as the light flows into their home's interior, creating that outdoor connection. Hence, during the day they will also experience a variety of sun and shadow exposure throughout the season’s equinoxes. This is achieved by allowing ample amounts of shade via the facade during the summer and enough sunlight during the winter. The sophisticated facade allows light to flow into each duplex in a unique way while also acting as a focal point from the exterior perspective. The facade openings connect the residents from inside the duplex to the happenings in the park which contributes to the privacy of the residents while feeling linked to the activities and environment of the park.

THE AXIS PICNIC PAVILION
LOCATION:EAST LYNN PARK, DANFORTH AVE
TORONTO, CANADA
RHINO, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR, ADOBE PHOTOSHOP & ENSCAPE| FALL 2O22
The Axis pavilions' goal is to serve as a communal space for gathering and shelter. The central concept revolves around maximizing the potential of the site's sloping topography. Positioned near the existing stairway on the project site, the pavilion proposed is a two-tier concrete structure. The upper tier features a viewing deck that is decorated with seating for park users; this provides a vantage point for enjoying the scenic views of East Lynn Park. Below, the lower level is an open space, offering shelter and a maintenance closet. This design of the pavilion capitalizes on the underutilized space and enhances the overall experience while adapting and highlighting the natural topography of the site features.

SECOND LEVEL PLAN
The pavilion stands 5 meters above street level. Walking down to the viewing deck you are below 1.5 meters lower than street level. Then taking the stairs down the slope to the lower level you reach -5 meters from initial height.
Walnut Condos is a midrise building complex situated directly across from stanley park. The central concept involving a bridging element, creates a connection across two sites. The bridge is shown in a metal-clad facade that spans across the building. This facade features shared balconies that provide residents with outdoor spaces for gatherings or work. In particular, it offers a private yet connected experience, allowing people to enjoy the outdoors without having to enter the park directly. The design incorporates contrasting materials, utilizing a modern touch with black brick for the townhouse levels below, while respecting the site's neighboring buildings' characters through classic orange brick on the upper levels. Additionally, corrugated metal on the sides enhances the overall aesthetic, contributing to a perfect fusion of contemporary and traditional elements
