Mabra’ cancer center is a project that contains multiple buildings which are cancer treatment center, cancer research center, cancer education caner, and housing/patient’s hotel. The main purpose of the project is to help the patient of cancer by insuring cancer treatment services that is compatible with both the healing environment concept and the medical applications, health manpower, and cultural habits of Egypt.

VISUAL RELIEF
Glazed skins and multiple points of access provide a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior, creating a visually open environment that reduces anxiety and stress for patients who deal with serious and chronic illness
NATURAL LIGHT
The spacious lobby is filled with natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows that grace the entrance.
VIEWS TO NATURE
The facility has floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides of the building that look to its exterior garden spaces
DAYLIGHTING
All exam and treatment rooms have access to daylight See-through exterior screens shield areas that have harsh sunlight to provide daylighting while still considering patient comfort
WARMTH AND HOSPITALITY
The materials and furnishings were specifically picked so the building would seem more like a hotel or spa than a medical facility.
HEALING GARDEN
Focused on regeneration and reconnection to living systems, the twostory expansion extends on a radial grid from a central courtyard healing garden.

ARC is an addiction rehabilitation center based in sohag which is chosen for this specific project because Sohag is a leading city in addicts number based on statistics by the ministry of health. The proposed rehabilitation/recovery center will be used by primarily low-income patients with addiction issues. The clients and patients will come from local and distant origins seeking the help, care, and, recovery of their lives ” The justification behind this project is, “People who acquire the disease of addiction need a positive and nurturing environment in order for them to thrive in the lifelong process of recovery.
