Warriors Make the Final Four in the 2018 State Baseball Playoffs
After winning their district playoff at AHS, the Warriors qualified for the State playoffs as the #8 seed and thus played their first game on May 21 against #1 Mountain Vista. With Drew Hayes on the mound, the Warriors upset the Golden Eagles 8-1 at All-City Stadium. Later that day with team MVP Garrett DeClue on the mound, Arapahoe beat the #5 seed Cherokee Trail Cougars 9-1. The following day, the Warriors lost to Heritage 7-4 but with the two earlier wins, earned a spot in the final four, along with Mountain Range, Heritage, and Mountain Vista.

On May 26th, the Warriors lost a pitcher's duel with the Mountain Range Mustangs and lost 1-0 to close out their state appearance. Mountain Vista then beat the Mustangs and Heritage to win the State championship.




Pitcher was one of the stars of the 2018 AHS Baseball team that made a thrilling run to the final four in 5A state baseball. Garrett was honored with being named to the Colorado 5A All-State team, as well as earning the team MVP. Garrett is now pitching for Western Nebraska.
