Harris Geronikolas President

Rashad Mabger Secretary General
Dear Reader,
Over the years, our events have attracted a diverse range of business leaders from across the Arab world and Greece. This success is largely due to the high level of organization and the careful selection of topics that reflect the true interests of the business community. In line with this tradition, the "14th ArabHellenic Economic Forum", scheduled for 26–27 November 2025, will focus on the energy and construction sectors, along with their related business activities. Given the importance of these two sectors and the proven track record of Greek companies in successfully executing construction projects throughout the Arab world, we are confident that participation will be both strong and meaningful.
This year, the Forum’s program will adopt a refreshed approach. We will introduce closed roundtable discussions on selected topics, presented by leading executives, and ensure the arrangement of pre-scheduled business meetings. The sessions will follow a panel-discussion format with concise introductions, designed to encourage active engagement and knowledge exchange among participants. Additionally, we are planning field visits to Greek companies and factories active in the energy and construction industries, offering delegates a practical insight into Greek expertise.
In close coordination with Federations and Chambers of Commerce across the Arab world, we are actively promoting this event. While the program remains in its draft stage, we are considering the inclusion of two or three additional closed-door discussions. Proposed topics include:
1. The impact of artificial intelligence on energy and construction.
2. Syria’s reconstruction plans, in light of its current transition toward stability and growth.
3. Greece’s advancements in the building materials industry.
These are initial options, and we remain open to suggestions and feedback from stakeholders who wish to contribute to shaping the program and participating in this important event.
In conclusion, it is worth emphasizing that the Arab-Hellenic Chamber enjoys a strong and recognized presence within the Greek business community. This status stems from our privilege of representing all Federations and Chambers of Commerce across the Arab world, our close cooperation with member companies, and our excellent relations with the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Greece. We also maintain a solid partnership with the Greek authorities.
Today, Greek-Arab relations are experiencing a new phase of coordination and cooperation, and we are confident that this Forum will contribute to further strengthening these ties. The opportunities are abundant—the next step is in your hands.

The Arab-Hellenic Chamber will convene its flagship event, the "14th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum," on November 26 and 27, 2025, at the Divani Caravel Hotel, Athens, Greece, under the theme “Toward Closer Cooperation.”
In line with the tradition of organizing theme-focused events, the 2025 Forum will highlight potential opportunities in energy and construction, two sectors experiencing rapid growth across the Arab world. Greece, with its long-standing contribution to infrastructure projects in the region and its recent progress in the energy fields, is well-positioned to play an active role in strengthening partnerships and advancing collaborations.
The Forum will adopt a revitalized program structure designed to maximize engagement and outcomes. Beyond panel discussions, the agenda will feature exclusive keynote speeches and presentations by leading experts, roundtables and interactive discussions, and closed-door deliberations among stakeholders. This format will enable participants to identify suitable partners, align with specific business interests, and pursue targeted opportunities.
Another new dimension is the introduction of English as an optional Forum’s working language, ensuring accessibility to a broader international audience. As usual, interpretation will be provided between Greek and Arabic languages.
Topics of Discussion
• Traditional energy and related developments
• Renewable and sustainable energy
• Infrastructure and Reconstruction
• Exchange of experiences and opportunities of technology transfer
• Recent developments in building materials
• Investment opportunities and Business partnerships
Target Audience
Decision-makers and key stakeholders including the electricity and renewable energy companies, oil and gas firms, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC companies), architectural and design offices, investment and financial entities, and real estate development companies.

Trade and Export Development,
The National U.S. – Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) – America’s #1 commercial gateway to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region – has just completed a high-level trade & investment mission to the Republic of Tunisia. Delegates met with senior government officials, private sector leaders, academia, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multilateral entities (like the World Bank). The visit was strongly supported by the U.S. Embassy in Tunis and the Tunisian Embassy in Washington DC.
“We are grateful to the people of Tunisia for their heartfelt hospitality and their strong desire to promote commercial relations with the United States,” noted David Hamod, President & CEO of NUSACC. “Our delegation members identified opportunities in key sectors, including what we characterized as the three securities: Food security, national security, and financial security.”
The high-level delegation was carefully curated by NUSACC, based on the companies’ expertise and their keen interest in Tunisia.
“The U.S. Embassy in Tunisia is deeply committed to supporting the American private sector as companies explore opportunities in Tunisia,” noted Hon. Joey

H.E. Samir Majoul, President of UTICA and President of the Union of Arab Chambers, hosted a roundtable discussion at UTICA’s headquarters. Leading industrialists welcomed Hon. Joey Hood, U.S. Ambassador, and the NUSACC delegation.
Hood, U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia. “We are grateful to NUSACC for leading this high-level, multi-sectoral delegation to Tunisia.”
“The Embassy of Tunisia was proud to support NUSACC’s trade and investment mission,” said H.E. Hanène Tajouri Bessassi, Tunisia’s Ambassador to the United States and a former recipient of NUSACC’s Ambassador of the Year award. “The Chamber has consistently proved to be an invaluable partner over the years, and NUSACC’s exceptional efforts have significantly strengthened Tunisia – U.S. commercial relations.”
NUSACC’s week-long mission to Tunisia would not have been possible without strong support from the Chamber’s private sector partners in Tunisia. These included AmCham Tunisia, CONECT International, Tunisian African Business Council, Tunis Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and UTICA – the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts.
Commerce has been driving U.S. – Tunisia relations since 1797, when the two nations signed the Treaty of Peace and Friendship. Tunisia was one of the first countries in the world to establish such a treaty with the young United States.
At a time when U.S. companies are looking to diversify

markets and supply chains, Tunisia today offers a compelling proposition: A reform-oriented economy, a highly capable workforce, and an open door to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. With 52 double taxation treaties and 54 bilateral investment agreements, Tunisia may be North Africa’s best-kept secret for innovation-driven investment. Tunisia is on a roll economically, driven in part by innovation. That nation’s Startup Act – the first of its kind in Africa – provides robust incentives for entrepreneurs and foreign investors. Over 700 startups are currently operating in Tunisia across fintech, edtech, and healthtech sectors.
Innovation is made possible by Tunisia’s people, that nation’s #1 asset. Tunisia produces 60,000 university graduates annually, with 18 percent in engineering or Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Tunisia today is working to align higher education with marketplace needs, reforming university curricula to meet demands of the rapidly evolving job market.

NUSACC’s delegation was received by Moncef Ben Jemaa (center left), President of the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting focused on strengthening commercial ties and exploring opportunities for U.S.–Tunisia business collaboration.
