Flipped Learning - Motion Videos Using Physics Resources. Successful physics students use a variety of learning resources. At Aquinas you are provided with three main resources: the physics website; the on-line textbook; your teacher. The first two are used mainly when you are working independently. The purpose of this exercise is to give you more practice using the website (hopefully you already have this habit!) In this exercise you are going to look at two video clips on our physics website which deal with the same topic. You are going to compare the videos and evaluate how useful they are. Task 1: Which video is best and why? • Go to the webpage for section 4.2 Space Time and Motion on the departmental website (www. aquinasphysics.com/42-space-time--motion.html) • Scroll down to section 4.2.B Linear Motion • Open the youtube playlist for this topic 1. Watch Video 1 – ‘Speed, velocity and acceleration.’….. lasts about six minutes. 2. Watch Video 9 - ‘Speed versus velocity.’…. lasts about eight and a half minutes. (A) Which video did you prefer and why? (You may want to watch each video a couple of times.)

Better video =

Reasons it was better.

(B) What are the features of a video clip that make it effective for learning physics? List them.
