KINETICO'S DUAL-TANK SYSTEM

Kinetico water softeners operate on a unique dual-tank system, setting them apart from traditional singletank models. This design allows for continuous water softening without interrupting your water supply. The system consists of two resin tanks and a brine tank.

LON EXCHANGE PROCESS

The heart of Kinetico's operation lies in the ion exchange process. The resin tanks are filled with thousands of tiny resin beads. These beads carry a negative charge and attract the positively charged calcium and magnesium ions in hard water. As water flows through the resin tank, the ions adhere to the resin beads, effectively removing the hardness from the water.

REGENERATION CYCLE

Over time, the resin beads become saturated with calcium and magnesium ions. To maintain the softening efficiency, Kinetico employs a regeneration cycle. During this time, one tank is in service while the other undergoes regeneration. The regeneration process involves flushing the accumulated minerals from the resin beads using a brine solution rich in sodium or potassium.
