Abstract. AccordingtotheEFProficiencytest,Indonesiaremainsclassifiedasacountry with a lack of proficiency in English, largely due to the ineffectiveness and disparityin the education system across different regions. Many Indonesians, particularly high schooler and university students, perceive English as merely a mandatorysubjectrather than a language for communication, resulting in limited vocabulary and practical experience communicating in daily life. Our project aims to raise awareness about the significance of English in promoting Indonesia's culture, efficiency, and potential. Through social media platforms, we seek to reach diverse Indonesian audiences and utilize creative content and generate new ideasofteachingtointegrateEnglishlanguage learningwiththevaluesofPancasila.

1 Introduction

In today's era of globalization, mastering English has become essential. English has become the international language, facilitating communication between nations English proficiency is now indispensable for job,socializing,graspingtechnology,etc Countrieswith strongEnglishskillscaneasilysharetheircultureandopportunitiesworldwide.

According to the English proficiency index report conducted by EF, Indonesia ranked 79th out of 113 countries and provinces with low proficiency inEnglish Basedontheirdata, Java is classified as the areas with highest proficiency, while Papua shows the lowest proficiency The Cities of Jakarta and SurabayaemergedasthecitieswiththehighestEnglish proficiency This proves that people who live in big cities have better English skills than peopleinsmalltowns.

In education in Indonesia, Englishistaughtasasecondlanguageafterthelocallanguage, namely Indonesian However, the idea that English is a "language" as a means of communication is still lacking. People, especially students, still consider English as asubject only at school Consequently, their English proficiency for practical communication remains limited Many students fail to recognize the significance of English skills for their future prospects. According to EF data for theagetrends,people18-20yearsoldinIndonesiahave a much lower level of ability than the 26 - 30 year old group (CNNIndonesiacom, Friday(11/18)

Educators also have a very big influence. Educators are responsible for providing effective models and methods in learning that facilitate the learning process of students Educators who are deficient in speaking English can have a huge influence ontheirstudents

Unfortunately, in Indonesia, educators who are non-native English speakers may face challenges due to perceived lack of professionalism, especially regarding pronunciation. Therefore, educators must be able tocreateeffectiveandefficientlearningconditionsinorder toattractstudents'interestandconfidence

Effective learning techniques can be done in any way, depending on the creativityofthe educator Creating conducive learning conditions can increase students' engagement and enthusiasm for participation When students are interested, they gain confidence in communicating effectively and fluently. This confidence empowers them to explore without fear,suchasindevelopingEnglishlanguageskills

2 ResearchMethods

This researchaimstoexplaintheimpactsofEnglishinspreadingthepotentialandculture efficiency in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach, the study utilizes interviews and surveys to assess the effectiveness of the English learning process in schools The data collectionmethodsincludegoogleforum,discussionsandface-to-faceinterviews

2.1 TheeffectivenessofEnglishlearningprocessinschoolssurvey

We designed a Google Form survey to ensure easy accessibility to the questionnaireanytime and anywhere Targeted towards high school and college students with considerable English education experience, our questionnaire aims to gauge the effectiveness of the English learning process across various schools Below are the questions we've prepared for the community

We created 2 survey videos focused on interviewing students and lecturers to gather their insights and suggestions regarding the impact of effective English learning on our personal and professional lives. 2.3 Cardgamemethod

Having to make card games here as our first prototype and simultaneously a tooltohavefun and also educate. These card games we have made as ourprototypesconsistof5casestudies thatwouldcoordinatewith5silas

These 5 case studies are meant to be made simple and comfortable for us to observe how intermediate thelevelofknowledgeinPancasilatheyarein Firstly,wetake3differentpeople from different cultural backgrounds (People that grow up in Indonesia, People who grew up abroad and foreigners who live in Indonesia) for comparison of their knowledge level of Pancasila Secondly,wedivide4peopleinto2groups(RedteamandWhiteteam) Thirdly,we preparedaboardwith5silasseperatedforthemtomatchwithwhichcasestudy

3 ResultsandDiscussion

3.1 SocialAwarenessamonghighschoolandcollegestudents:theuseofsocialmedia contentonstudentawarenessparticularlyintermofpancasilaknowledge

Social awareness is an awareness of the roles and responsibilities of individuals in society Among high school and university students, social awareness plays an important role in character building and understanding national values, internalized by theyoungergeneration.

One effective way to increase social awareness and knowledge of English Education is throughtheuseofsocialmediacontent.

Socialmediahasbecomeanintegralpartofthedailylivesofhighschoolandcollegestudents. Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok are used not only for entertainment, but also as a source of information and education Content disseminated throughsocialmediahasgreatpotentialtoinfluencethemindsetandbehaviorofitsusers.

Social awareness among high school and university students is essential toformageneration that is sensitive to social issues and has a strong understanding of national values, including Pancasila The use of social media asaneducationaltooloffersagreatopportunitytoachieve this goal. With the right strategy and collaboration between various parties, social media can be an effective tool to increase social awareness and knowledge of Pancasila among the youngergeneration

Based on our G-form survey results, shows a wide range of when students started learning and became fluent in English, with the majority beginning in kindergarten and achieving fluency by high school Although the majority of students thought their teachers' methods were effective, a sizable proportion of them did not. This suggests that, while many students benefit from current teaching methods, there is a significant need for improvement to accommodate different learning styles and increase overall effectiveness Students' detailed explanations of why they found the teaching methods effective or ineffective can provide educators with valuable insights into how to improve their strategies and better support Englishlanguagelearner

For the last question in the survey, we accepted that most of the survey participants gave almost the same answer, namely that they received learning with only a lot of emphasis on grammar and the lack of normalization of English in everyday life Some noted educators' occasional shortcomings in utilizing grammar and vocabulary in their communication, often relying heavily on written assignments for homework Despite these challenges, however, therewerestudentswhoreportedreceivingeffectiveEnglishinstruction

Pancasila GlobalCrew.TogainsocialawarenesstowardEnglisheducationwe'veestablished an Instagram presence as our platform for content dissemination We provide 2 survey episodes featuring interviews with college students and lecturers who already have deeper experiences regarding English education Theconsensusfromthesediscussionshighlightsthe effectiveness of daily practice and communication in learning English Suggestions include activities like watching movies, reading English literature, and cultivating friendships with Englishspeakerstoenhancevocabularyandbolsterconfidenceinspeaking

3.2 CardGameimplementation

Fun card games designed to educate students on Pancasila can have a significant psychological impact by fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment. These games can reduce anxiety associated with traditional learning methods, promote positive reinforcement through gamified rewards, and enhance memory retention by linking course materials to enjoyable activities. The competitive yet cooperative nature of card games encourages social interaction, teamwork, and communication skills, making the learning process more dynamic and less monotonous By incorporating elements of play, students are more likely to internalize the principles of Pancasila, as the fun context helps to create memorablelearningexperiencesandadeeperunderstandingoftheideologicalvalues

Expanding on the psychological impact, fun card games tailoredtoteachPancasilaprinciples can significantly enhance cognitive engagement and intrinsic motivation The interactive nature of these games stimulates curiosity and sustained attention, which are crucial for effective learning By presenting information in a visually appealing and strategically challenging format, card games can cater to diverse learning styles, helping students who might struggle with traditional lectures or textbooks Additionally, the instant feedback provided during gameplay reinforces correct understanding and quickly addresses misconceptions, promoting a growth mindset. The enjoyment derived from playing these games can also build a positive emotional connection to the subject matter, making students more likely to appreciateandembracethevaluesofPancasilaintheirdailylives Thismethod notonlyaidsincognitiveprocessingbutalsofostersasenseofcommunityandsharedpurpose amongstudents,aligningwithPancasila'semphasisonunityandcooperation

Our mission is to foster people who grewupinIndonesiaandoutsideIndonesiatoinaugurate Pancasila even deeper so they are able to participate in political activities and support the country as a nation. Making a game is one of the only ways to bring unity in adjusting the country's perception of political stands and culture We have chosen to make card games instead as it is believed and provenscientificallythatithelpswithbuildingtheconnectionsof large numbers of people with different cultures and backgrounds to form a unity and cooperationineducatingoneanother

In here, we have noticed in the comfortable level of case study, they have transcended the answers to the study cases We have discerned that the English language can be helpful in understandingPancasilawithbroaderculturalandethnicbackgrounds

4 Conclusion

In conclusion, addressing the challenges in English education and leveraging innovative teaching methods, such as card games and social media, can significantly enhance English proficiency and social awareness among Indonesian students. By promoting active learning and fostering a deeper understanding ofnationalvalueslikePancasila,theseeffortscontribute to the personal and professional development of individuals and the broader socio-cultural advancementofIndonesia.
