SELECTED WORKS 2020-2025

As a final-year architecture student, I enjoy expressing ideas through sketching and illustrations and bringing designs to life. Collaborating with teams has shaped me into a supportive leader, improving my organizational skills. I am hardworking, time-efficient, reliable, and resilient.

For me, architecture is about creating thoughtful, functional and sustainable spaces that resonate with people and their experiences.

ILAVENIL

HUMBLE ABODE TUCKED AWAY IN THE HILLS

Tucked away in the peaceful hills of Vagamon, Ilavenil is a charming 2BHK holiday home designed for a couple who value simplicity and tranquility. The house draws inspiration from Tamil and Kerala architecture, featuring a traditional Nalukettu layout with a cozy Thinnai at the entranceand Athangudi tile flooring. A small flower garden adds color and life to the space, while the backyard lounge invites relaxation under the open sky. Humble yet thoughtful in design, Ilavenil reflects the spirit of its surroundings, offering a warm and inviting retreat that feels like an extension of nature itself.

AVAL ARANGAM

WALKWAY TO FEEL THE PRESENCE OF ABSENSE

The aim is to design a memorial honoring the victims of female infanticide and honor killings, focusing on the plight of women subjected to these injustices. Female infanticide, rooted in gender bias, poverty, and cultural practices like dowry, takes the lives of girls for simply being female. Honor killings, driven by patriarchal norms and cultural rules, punish women for perceived actions that “dishonor” their families. This memorial seeks to shed light on these grave injustices, promoting awareness, remembrance, and a call for societal change toward equality and respect for women.

A stereotypical comparison likens a flower’s growth to a woman’s life, reinforcing traditional gender roles and societal expectations. The memorial incorporates site level differences to symbolize growth, each level representing a life stage. Structures highlight lives lost to pride and cultural constraints, reflecting these injustices’ devastating impact at every stage.

ARUMBU

During the pre-bud stage, a flower is highly vulnerable to physical damage and requires protection. This parametric enclosed pavilion symbolizes the protection.

Represents a budding flower. A sculpture placed at the entry that represents the birth of a child.

Amphitheatre acts as a place to relax and observe the sculpture.

ARUMBU

Represents a fully grown flower acts as a museum space for the victims of honour killing Interior - Awry, dark vibes and eerie sound effects with water as focus The facade is colourful and cheerful to emphasis the beauty of a mature flower.

REDEFINING JUSTICE

COMBINED DISTRICT COURT COMPLEX AT MADURAI

The aim is to design an additional building for the existing District Court, addressing the need for improved facilities and functionality. The design integrates passive surveillance strategies for safety while prioritizing user comfort. Thoughtful spatial planning and modern amenities ensure a dignified, efficient experience. Emphasizing image-making, the architecture reflects the authority and fairness of a judicial institution, balancing accessibility and the dignity expected of a court complex.

PLAY OF LEVELS: Hierarchy is emphasized between the Judge’s Block, Court Halls, and Administrative Block for clarity and prominence.

ZONING: Three blocks are separated based on hierarchy, ensuring smooth functionality.

CENTRAL COURTYARD: Enhances passive security through natural surveillance and visual connectivity.

JUDGES’ ACCESS: Dedicated pathways connect chambers to court halls, maintaining privacy and efficiency.

SHARED ENTRANCES: Public and lawyers share an entrance, while administrative staff have a separate entry linked to the public area.

LIGHTWELLS: Provide ample natural lighting to previously dim areas.

SEVEN LEVELS: Create a monumental façade.

WHERE TO PEE ?

THE TALK. THE REMORSE.

Where to pee? Breaking down a society, a dysfunctional one, is to turn the tunnel to listen a little closer to the demanding mouths. To respect what the walking and the talking express to graph a degree of spatial need. Why building museums pukes patriotism to wake up to a system crying over its lost purpose. Hiding the urge to question the ties that deny to clean that cubicle you couldn’t use on your period in a bus station. Focusing on the gut of challenges that still pose public hazards now screams louder over the glorious smirks of statues . To realise that a full bladder self questions the tax that goes into thin air. Calls for a practise to juxtapose urban sanitation and sanctity. The dirt of communal facilities and its resist to change runs on a treadmill. Sorting a governance roots to explicitly bind the A’s a facility speaks –allocations, affordances and ambitions. Where the unspoken ‘restroom revolution’ dodges the common, pierces to open a stage to the revelations of a tailor-made ailment. ” A society can have anything it cares enough about and is willing to pay for.”, Alexander Kira , The Bathroom.

GRIHA TROPHY

A SALUTOGENIC TAKE ON AN OFFICE TOWER

This project transforms an office tower into a sustainable hospital using adaptive reuse, prioritizing minimal structural changes and environmental efficiency. Guided by a thorough site study, the redesign incorporates all 30 GRIHA criteria to optimize energy use, daylight, and resource conservation. Tools like Simapro and life cycle assessment were employed for solar simulations and daylight analysis, ensuring user comfort and reduced energy consumption. With a detailed cost estimation, the project exemplifies how adaptive reuse can meet healthcare needs while promoting sustainability and green infrastructure.

TROPHY BRIEF

The Corporate Office for Mentor Graphics in Noida has to be redesigned into 150-bedded general hospitals using adaptive reuse techniques ensuring carbon footprint reduction.
