Die Friedensglocke
Campana della pace in memoria dei caduti di tutte le guerre. Fusa con il bronzo dei cannoni delle nazioni partecipanti al primo conflitto mondiale, venne battezzata nel 1925 con il nome di “Maria Dolens”. L’attuale bronzo benedetto da Papa Paolo VI, fu collocato sul colle di Miravalle il 4 novembre 1965. È la più grande campana del mondo che suoni a distesa. Ogni sera al tramonto i suoi cento rintocchi sono un monito di pace universale. Con una piacevole passeggiata nel bosco si raggiunge il sacrario militare di Castel Dante, che conserva le spoglie di ventimila soldati.
Born from the idea of a priest of Rovereto, Don Antonio Rossaro, it had to be evidence and admonition of peace in memory of the Fallen of all wars. Cast with the bronze of the cannons of the 19 nations involved in the First World War, it was inaugurated on the 24th May 1925 with the name “Maria Dolens”. After being blessed in Rome by Pope Paul VI it was placed in its current seat, on Miravalle Hill, on the 4th November 1965. It’s the biggest ringing bell in the world. Every evening, at nightfall, it invites us with its sound to remember the Fallen of all wars.
Die größte Glocke der Welt, die ohne Unterlaß schlägt, wurde vom Roveretaner Geistlichen don Antonio Rossaro entworfen, um die Gefallenen aller Kriege zu ehren. Die Glocke wurde aus der Bronze der Kanonen gegossen, die von den am 1. Weltkrieg beteiligten Nationen gestiftet wurden. Am 24.05.1925 taufte man sie auf den Namen ”Maria Dolens“. Nachdem sie vom Papst Paulus VI 1965 in Rom gesegnet wurde, ging die Glocke am 4. November im Triumphzug wieder nach Rovereto zurück, wo sie auf dem Miravalle Hügel installiert wurde. Jeden Abend beim Sonnenuntergang erinnern ihre 100 Schläge an die Gefallenen und an das Leiden aller Kriege.
