Computers & Internet

Public access computers are available. Ninety minute sessions are available by drop in. If you require more than 90 minutes, please book ahead of time by calling 780-624-4076.

You do not need to have a library card to use the public computers.

Free Wi-Fi is also available. Ask at the circulation desk for login information.

Exam Proctoring

If you need to write an exam for distance education, we offer proctoring. There is a fee of $40 for this service. Please contact the Library two weeks or more before the exam date to book your appointment. Appointments available Wednesday to Friday at 9:00am or 1: 00pm Contact Bev at: librarytech@prmlibrary.ab.ca or phone 780-624-4076.

Story Time will return in September!

June 4th & 11th from 3:45 to 4:45pm. For avid and reluctant readers alike. For ages 7-10. Register monthly. Space is limited. Register at prmlibrary.ab.ca/events.

Wednesdays from 3:45 to 5:00pm. Current session runs January to June. For ages 7 to 12. Last meeting is June 12th. Watch for the next session in September.

Thursdays from 3:45 to 5:00pm. Current session runs January to June. For ages 7 to 12. Last meeting is June 13th. Watch for the next session in September.

Thursdays starting June 6th from 6 to 7:30pm. Join the Crafty Knitwits as they begin a Peace River chapter of their international crafting group! Bring your project and enjoy and evening with other handiwork enthusiasts. Drop-in.

Our campaign is finished for now but watch for a new game to be launched in September!

Annual Indigenous Art Show

May 23 to June 21

Come to view, celebrate, and experience the artwork and pieces created and contributed by local IndigenousArtists.

The show will conclude with a closing reception on June 21st (National Indigenous Peoples Day)

REGULAR PROGRAMS

Dungeons and Dragons:

Beading Circle:

June 8th & 22nd from 11am to 2pm. Join us to learn and play Dungeons & Dragons. Beginners and experts welcome.

June 8th and 22nd from 1 to 4:30pm. Join Priscilla for an afternoon of beading and learning from each other. Bring your own supplies or purchase a kit for $10.

Chess Club:

TREX : Come What May

Artists: Brandon Bilhete, Byron McBride, and Gary McMillan

The TREX exhibition Come What May features the work of three artists who, through a focus on fantasy and imagination in their creative endeavors, reflect on the world as they find it or create new worlds which may envision a different course for the human race.

Bookmobile—

Heritage Tower:

June 8th & 22nd from 2:30 to 4pm. For players of all ages from beginner to experienced, we invite you to join us to learn and play chess together. Enjoy socialization, snacks, and a mental workout as you learn, practice, and improve your chess skills. No registration is required for this drop-in program.

June 11th at 2:30 (Heritage Tower). Tammy will be bringing items to residents of Heritage Tower. Meet her in person to pick up your items and browse other selections. To become a Bookmobile patron, please call the library at 780624-4076.

Talking Buddies:

June 12th from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Join Michelle as she leads this multicultural group to practice English and learn about each other’s cultures. We will meet to chat, learn, and grow together. Register at prmlibrary.ab.ca/events.

Young Teen Book Club:

Bugs! - Take Home Kit:

June 24th at 5:30pm. The Peace River Aboriginal Interagency Committee and facilitators will be using a localized script to the Peace Region. Register at prmlibrary.ab.ca/events.
