Last October the Department for Education announced they will be reviewing the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification to optimise it following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on early years children.

NCFE, the Northern Council for Further Education, has been tasked with reviewing the qualification using research and feedback from parents, practitioners and training providers They are reviewing the qualification to flag where childcare professionals can be trained to a higher level to deliver better care to children.
