EARLY YEARS NEWSLETTER MAY 2022
THE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW EARLY YEARS TRAINEESHIPS! Are you interested in working in childcare but are unsure if it’s the right option for you? Well, now you can try working in childcare before committing to an apprenticeship with our new early years traineeships! Our early years traineeships are a 10-week work experience placement in an early years setting. Alongside your work experience, you’ll gain 3 qualifications in childcare, safeguarding and digital skills that can set the foundation of your career in early years. The training programme is designed to give aspiring early years practitioners hands-on experience in the industry and create a pathway into a longterm career in childcare. And did we forget to mention that you’ll earn £150 per week too? Traineeships are a government scheme to support young people in gaining skills and experience and provide employment opportunities. After you have completed your traineeship, depending on your performance, you will have a clear progression pathway into
full-time work and the opportunity to enrol on one of our childcare level 2 or 3 apprenticeships! This will be an opportunity to further build and cement your knowledge and skills in childcare. Click here to discover further details about our early years traineeships, like eligibility criteria and training topics. We have further trainee intakes planned for later this year so if you’re interested in a traineeship, click here to register your interest!

IN THE NEWS
OUR SUMMER 2022 INTAKES
We have upcoming course intakes for the following apprenticeship: Business Administrator Level 3 Digital Marketer Level 3 The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has been investigating an increase in cases of sudden onset hepatitis in young children under the age of 10. After an increase in cases was identified in January 2022, the UKHSA decided to investigate the rise in cases, which have predominantly been in children under the age of 5 years old. Hepatitis is when the liver becomes inflamed due to a viral infection. The initial symptoms in these cases have included signs of gastroenteritis illness (sickness and diarrhoea), which is followed by the onset of jaundice. Normal hygiene measures, such as handwashing and ensuring children wash their hands properly, can help to reduce the spread of infection. While the likelihood of children developing hepatitis is low, childcare practitioners and parents should be aware of the symptoms and parents should contact a doctor if concerned.
