Search for a new leader

Johns Creek has launched a nationwide search for a new police chief. In a 5-2 vote, Aug. 10 the City Council approved a resignation agreement with Police Chief Chris Byers who is stepping down after five months in the position. Byers has been on administrative leave since June after posting on social media comments criticizing some religious leaders for their support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Read more, Page 3
