Ex-state Rep. Robichaux to face Wilson for mayor By SARAH COYNE sarah@appenmedia.com ROSWELL, Ga. — Former Democratic state Rep. Mary Robichaux announced June 25 that she will run for mayor of Roswell. The seat is non-partisan. In her announcement, Robichaux stated that she wants to bring a new model of governing to Roswell, based around transparency. Her campaign states that she will focus on economic development, small business support, infrastructure investment and community safety. “I want to be able to have adult conversations with everyone to solve our issues and move this city forward,” Robichaux said to Appen Media. Robichaux served from 20192023 in the Georgia House, representing District 48, which includes most of Roswell. During her time under the Gold Dome, she worked to pass a property tax-reduction for senior citizens in Fulton County. “I think all [of] the voices need to be heard,” she told Appen Media. reinvestment, government efficiency and effectiveness. “Leadership means listening, learning, and taking action,” Wilson said. “Roswell’s best days are ahead, and I am committed to leading us there with vision, integrity and the will to get things done.” Wilson said that his experience in the private-sector and passion for public service allows him to bring a forward-thinking approach in accountability, results and civic pride. “Together, we’ve made massive progress, but we have high expectations, and there’s still work to be done,” Wilson said. Qualifying for the 2025 City of Roswell Municipal Election is at Roswell City Hall 38 Hill St. from 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20. The qualifying fee for mayor is $1,200.
