The collaboration with pro teams has always been part of LIMAR DNA, and LIMAR was the first company to sponsor a full cycling team.

The recommendations of champions like Gianni Bugno, Bjarne Riis, Alexandr Vinokurov testing the helmets during races, allow Limar to develop helmets based on the real needs of professional cyclists, extremely demanding in terms of comfort, ventilation and, most of all, performance.

The inestimable information collected along the years have directed the research and development of Limar, integrating mathematical data and the analyses of the wind tunnel tests with another even more sophisticated instrument: man, with all his sensations.

We have exploited the unique properties of carbon, coupling them with EPS, to realise a maximum resistance core with minimum thickness. Two structural wings merge with the side ribs of the shell, creating a highly performing cage in terms of safety, aerodynamics and ventilation.

IMPROVING AIR CIRCULATION The transversal wings, thanks to the use of carbon, have a reduced thickness.

This allows easy inflow and improved air circulation inside the shell resulting in great benefits to aerodynamics and ventilation.

SMOOTHING THE AIR The pyramidal surface of the longitudinal ribs reduces the impact pressure, cleanly cutting through the air.

D E E P S IR CHRONO AERODYNAMICS Aerodynamic flow was the main feature of this project, as if the lines of the helmet had been drawn by the wind. At an average speed of 40 km/h, AIR SPEED achieves the same performance and aerodynamics code of our time trial helmet, LIMAR AIR KING, but with the natural advantage of better ventilation.

EXTREME VENTILATION The twelve air vents and the three longitudinal channels allow a faster extraction of hot air, granting an immediate and better cooling effect on the head, even during long performances.

POWER DURING THE RACE During the tests carried out at the Boardman Performance Center (UK), we had further confirmation that AIR SPEED allows the rider great saving in watts during performance.

ADVANCED HIGH TECHNOLOGY The in-mould monoshell technology guarantees optimal results in terms of aerodynamics. The single shell is naturally compact and streamlined, creating the perfect surface to allow the air to flow and to prevent turbulence.

DEVELOPED IN THE WIND TUNNEL You can count on all the over thirty years of experience in producing and manufacturing more and more advanced models. Thanks to ongoing tests in the wind tunnel in MagnyCours we have worked on every single detail, to reach the best possible balance between aerodynamic and ventilation. The result being a helmet with such a combination of performance and comfort like you have never seen before.

ULTRA VENTILATED Thanks to the Venturi effect, the fifteen air vents and the internal duct , the helmet grants the entry of a large amount of air, but with no compromise to its aerodynamic performance.

Comfort is ensured by the circulation inside the helmet, where the air is channeled through the entire shell, and the accumulated heat is expelled, keeping the head cool.

THE SECRET IS SMOOTHNESS Thanks to the position of the front air vents and to the shape of the rear section, the air has a lesser impact, it runs along the entire shell and detaches progressively, without creating turbulence.

LIGHTNESS, VENTILATION AND COMFORT Thanks to Limar’s advanced technology, choice of materials and know-how in terms of lightness, the weight is among the lowest in the same category in the market (330g for M size).

It offers excellent ventilation thanks to its 17 vents and two internal flow channels for perfect air circulation.

EVERY DETAIL MAKES THE DIFFERENCE The 4 cm elastic band is equipped with silicone inside to ensure perfect adherence to the helmet. The soft double layer foam in contact with the skin guarantees perfect adherence and comfort, prevents humidity and protects from the wet.

TOTAL FIT The retention system is guaranteed by AIRFIT, minimal in weight and size. Ergonomic, horizontally and vertically adjustable and integrated with the webbing to offer, together with the big non-allergenic, removable and washable padding, optimal fit and total comfort.
