YOU’RE HELPING US CHANGE THE CONVERSATION

Have you ever witnessed a conversation change because a new voice entered the room? Voices shape the tone, direction, and outcome of a conversation. Sometimes, all it takes to shift the conversation is the presence of a new voice.

Here at Asia Pacific Media, we are engaged in a conversation that Bill and Kim Snider started 37 years ago. They have been the voice of media ministry all across Asia, building relationships and pioneering gospel-centered storytelling across cultures, and their work continues to bear fruit even to this day.

Now, my wife Delsey and I have the honor of continuing that work. We’re not here to change the message, but we strive to continue being a catalyst to change the conversation. Our voices may sound different, but our mission remains exactly the same.

When the Holy Spirit was calling Bill and Kim Snider to start a media ministry in Asia, He was also placing the call to missions in the heart of a 12-year-old boy in northern Missouri. That was me, and all of this was at the same time. Now, years later, I see how the voice of the Holy Spirit directed and equipped my wife and I to further that story.

At APMedia, we help churches and Christ followers navigate the digital world, not just to keep up, but to speak up in a noisy culture. We want to change the conversation to spiritual things with clarity and relevance, using every voice and platform that God has given us.

Your partnership with APMedia helps keep this conversation going. Don’t forget, your voice matters. I pray that you will be inspired in this issue of Mission magazine to recognize the power you have to change the conversation, too!

For the more than 500 media missionaries attending APMedia’s Limitless 2025, it was clear it wasn’t just a conference—it was a commissioning.

From overwhelmed to equipped, these creatives discovered their screens are sacred ground. To the world, a camera is just a device. A Facebook page is just another social platform. But in the hands of a surrendered heart, they become modern-day pulpits carrying timeless truth.

From Support Role to Main Objective

Christian Beltran, a seasoned media ministry leader, emphasized this paradigm shift: “Media ministry is more than just a support role for the church—it has become a main part of the church’s mission. Media has evolved so much. Before, it was mostly about printed materials. We would donate Bibles and distribute physical copies. But today, we stream services and produce inspirational live content. Media has become the bridge between the church and the unreached.” The conference addressed modern challenges, incorporating controversial topics like artificial intelligence. Speakers explored how emerging technologies can serve the church’s mission.

Worth the Journey

For Pastor Hazzel Arcilla from Journey Church Philippines, sending delegates by plane was a significant investment. “’Limitless’ is truly priceless to us because it doesn’t just focus on knowledge, talents, or skills—it addresses the deeper need of every Christian: a heart that loves and seeks the Lord.”

Algen Andam reflected: “We attended ‘Hack in the Box’ and ‘Reaching the Next Generation Through Media.’ We had new learnings and are excited to share them with our team back home. We invited our pastor to invest in this event because he truly desires to serve the Lord with excellence.”

A Movement, Not Just a Moment

The most moving aspect wasn’t just what was taught—it was what was shared. Meaningful conversations, new friendships, and budding collaborations sparked unity that extended far beyond church walls into the digital mission field.

As keynote speakers shared: “We are creatives that reflect God’s image and identity as Creator. We must sit at His feet and be filled, or we will run dry. Every ‘seen’ is a soul searching for truth and genuine love. Instead of limiting our efforts to face-to-face ministry, we must bring the gospel to the digital space, especially for Gen Z.”

Limitless was never meant to be just a biennial event. It was, and is, a declaration: There are no limits to what God can do through a willing heart and a digital tool in His hands. We’ve only begun to equip workers in the harvest field. With your partnership we are multiplying workers.

In a media-saturated world, Asia Pacific Media is equipping church volunteers to harness the power of digital platforms to share the gospel beyond traditional boundaries. The Black Shirt Crew Podcast, produced by APMedia trainers and staff members, is empowering a new generation of “digital missionaries.” At the local level, workers who have been trained are creating engaging content that resonates with

audiences across the Philippines and beyond. In today’s fast-paced, media-driven world, how can the local church keep up—and more importantly, stand out? At Asia Pacific Media, we believe the answer lies in people—passionate volunteers equipped to share the timeless message of the gospel in fresh, creative ways.

That’s where the Black Shirt Crew comes in.

This homegrown podcast, produced by APMedia trainers and staff, is more than just another show—it’s a lifeline for church media volunteers. It’s a space where everyday believers learn how to harness the power of media to reach beyond church walls and into hearts across the Philippines and beyond.

A Lifeline for Church Media Volunteers

Asia Pacific Media believes in the transformative power of digital communication. Through this Taglish podcast from APMedia, participants gain practical knowledge and encouragement to enhance their ministry effectiveness.

This APMedia podcast series, designed specifically for small and medium-sized churches, addresses the challenges media volunteers face with limited training and resources. The episodes offer fresh, culturally relevant approaches to church media, making professional techniques accessible to everyday volunteers.

Real Solutions, Real Impact

Among the popular episodes is “Si Pastor at ang Media Team,” which explores the critical relationship between church leadership and media volunteers. Produced by APMedia’s experienced trainers and staff, viewers are treated to a thoughtful exploration of communication, expectations, and shared ministry vision.

In “Livestreaming on a Budget,” the Black Shirt Crew offers practical solutions for churches with limited resources, demonstrating how even small teams can create professional-looking broadcasts that engage their communities both online and offline.

Hope Multiplied

The Black Shirt Crew Podcast serves as more than just a series; it’s a launchpad for aspiring digital missionaries across the Philippines. Participants appreciate the opportunity to receive professional guidance and training which they utilize to transform their church’s digital presence.

Antonette and Patrick know the rhythm of showing up in faith while silently wondering if God is still listening.

As ministry leaders with APMedia, they’ve helped shape stories that carry hope across the digital landscape. But behind the scenes, they carried a story that felt impossibly unfinished.

“We have been praying and waiting to have a baby for eleven years.”

For over a decade, they poured their hearts into ministry and digital discipleship. But the one desire they kept bringing back to God— becoming parents—remained unanswered.

From Diagnoses to Disappointment

When the waiting stretched into infertility treatments and painful diagnoses, their hope began to fray.

“We tried five cycles. Nothing worked.”

They wept in restaurants. Argued in silence. Wondered if God had forgotten them. “Maybe this is not His plan for us,” Antonette whispered.

The Battle Between Faith and Surrender

Still, they clung to the God they preached about.

“What is the point of being upset over one unanswered prayer? He is not a man that He should lie.”

But the questions lingered: What if surrender means letting go? It wasn’t just about the baby anymore. It was about who they believed God to be.

A Whisper in Worship

During a church service, as Antonette prayed in the Spirit, a prayer warrior approached her: “Nette, the Lord said He has a surprise for you and Patrick.” That was August 29.

The next day, her favorite meal tasted bland. She craved sundaes. A voice whispered, “Take a test.” In the bathroom, two pink lines appeared. “I was crying already, calling out to Patrick, ’Bee, I’m pregnant!’” Their miracle had come, not by effort or medicine, but by grace.

Already Pregnant in the Middle of the Pain

Here’s the holy wonder: Antonette was already carrying life during a counseling session where they confessed deep sorrow over childlessness.

“We were already pregnant on August 6—we just didn’t know it yet.”

God had been moving behind the scenes. They were 39. By medical standards, the odds were stacked against them.

The God Who Waits With You

Antonette and Patrick’s ministry now carries a new layer of testimony— living stories, even the waiting parts.

“Although there are seasons you are down and having doubts... never let go of the Lord. Because He will fulfill what He has promised.”

“I am searching for what happened to Jesus, then I found the answer here.” - Sheryl

REEL Faith proves that entering existing conversations can be more powerful than starting new ones. By bringing timeless truth into contemporary spaces, the series didn’t just share information—it created transformation. Doubt became dialogue. Questions became quests. Fifteen-second videos sparked eternal conversations.

The digital mission field is vast and waiting. Sometimes all it takes to change everything is showing up where the conversation is already happening.

Fifteen Seconds to Eternity

Over Holy Week, APMedia released twelve short videos addressing questions that have challenged seekers for generations. These weren’t traditional sermons but fifteen-second answers designed for the scroll generation, tackling “Did Jesus Really Die?” and “Where did the Lord come from?” in vertical format perfect for social media.

Meeting young people in their digital habitat rather than expecting them to find church represented a fundamental shift in evangelistic approach.

The Scroll That Stopped Everything

The response was remarkable: over 400,000 views and 27,000 interactions. But the real transformation happened in the comments.

Skeptics lingered to debate. Doubters engaged. Critics challenged resurrection claims, creating the spiritual dialogue traditional outreach struggles to generate. Each skeptical comment became a doorway for deeper discussion, with APMedia staff turning digital disagreement into discipleship moments.

From Doubt to Discovery

When Sheryl commented, “I am searching for what happened to Jesus, then I found the answer here,” it revealed how profoundly the spiritual landscape had shifted.

Authentic seeking was happening mid-scroll. The gospel wasn’t compromised—it was creatively packaged to reach hearts traditional methods never touched.

Truth at the Speed of Swipe

REEL Faith proves that entering existing conversations can be more powerful than starting new ones. By bringing timeless truth into contemporary spaces, the series created transformation. Doubt became dialogue. Questions became quests. Fifteen-second videos sparked eternal conversations.

The digital mission field is vast and waiting. Sometimes all it takes is showing up where the conversation is already happening.

Darrien Baez didn’t consider himself tech-savvy. Like many pastors, he knew how to preach and shepherd—but the digital demands of ministry felt overwhelming. “I didn’t know how to do church media. I didn’t have the experience. But I brought my young people to APMedia’s training—and that changed everything.”

Now APMedia training has

Rev.

increased the reach of his church at Crossroads Assemblies of God in Mansilingan to people beyond its city limits.

What One Training Unleashed

When APMedia held a training two years ago, Pastor Darrien brought curious, untrained young people. What they received wasn’t just skills— it was calling.

“When we got back to church, I was shocked. The announcements were different. There were graphics. There were videos. Suddenly, our young people were doing things in a professional way.”

Their church media presence exploded. They launched Facebook livestreams, created evangelism videos, and began using APMedia discipleship tools in classrooms and cell groups.

Beyond Church Walls

Rev. Baez also serves as faculty at North Negros College, incorporating APMedia’s gospel videos into his teaching. “I used the Jesus videos in class for analysis. And the students responded. This is more than a sermon tool. This is a campus mission strategy.”

Soon, students were leading cell groups. Youth were creating worship videos. Members abroad were watching through livestream links.

Phones Become Pulpits

The church in Cadiz City began reaching students in distant Bacolod through media—posters, videos, Facebook invites, all from phones.

“What used to be a distraction has now become a ministry tool.”

In a homeowner subdivision, Rev. Baez shared APMedia’s Lenten videos in a group chat with Catholic neighbors, opening new doors for the gospel.

“Our media ministry is now evangelism, discipleship, missions—it’s everything. It makes my ministry easier, and it makes the message go farther.” Young people are no longer distracted in church—they’re engaged, submitting sermon reflections and sharing devotionals.

Kingdom Catalyst

APMedia is equipping churches to raise up digital missionaries—young people who don’t just consume media, they create it for the gospel. Rev. Darrien represents hundreds more pastors across Asia Pacific Region once overwhelmed by digital ministry, now empowered. And it all started with a simple training and a willing heart.

After five years away, returning to Myanmar revealed a nation dramatically changed.

The streets that once bustled with activity now seem quieter, with fewer people visible in public spaces. What struck me most was the stark contrast of encountering only three other Westerners during my entire stay.

Unexpected Invitations

Yet amid these challenges, I witnessed

something remarkable: the church is experiencing unprecedented opportunities. Following the devastating earthquake in Mandalay that claimed over 5,000 lives, local believers have been at the forefront of relief efforts. They’ve provided food and practical assistance to affected families, gaining access to communities that were previously closed to them. Doors have been opened in Buddhist communities, where they’ve not only offered aid but also shared hope and prayed with people.

100 New Congregations Emerge from Crisis

The fruit of this faithfulness is extraordinary. Our superintendent reports that the church has planted 100 new congregations in recent years, with many openings appearing in Buddhist communities. Oftentimes it is in times of great calamity that people turn toward God, and we’re seeing that happen throughout Myanmar.

One Video, Overwhelming Response

Myanmar’s media ministry has flourished beyond our expectations. Through their “Media for Hope” Facebook page, along with YouTube and other platforms, they’re reaching people with the good news in remarkable ways. Since God opened this door for us in 2013, working alongside our local partners has been an incredible journey. Their studio now features new equipment, including a Mac Mini that will create two editing suites as they expand their team. The response to their programs has been overwhelming—one video message about relief efforts resulted in a flood of donations. We’re witnessing Buddhists come to Christ after encountering Jesus through media content and connecting with local believers.

19 Million People, One Platform

With 19 million people now on TikTok—matching Facebook’s reach— they’re considering expanding to this platform. The leadership’s enthusiasm for evangelistic media represents a significant shift from previous years. Their commitment to growing this ministry in cooperation with the church is truly exciting. These are indeed special times for God’s work in Myanmar, where faithful servants like Akin and his family continue advancing the Kingdom despite circumstances. What strikes me most is this: when the world sees chaos and uncertainty, God sees opportunity. Because of your faithful partnership, we’re not just witnessing history—we’re helping write it, one transformed life at a time.

In 2015, our team at APMedia took a significant step in cross-cultural ministry by translating our films “Rebound” and “Ang Sugo” into Bahasa, opening doors for media outreach across Southeast Asia.

That same year marked another pivotal moment I connected with Mongolian church leaders who had been part of our Asian Institute for Media training program back in 1997.

The relationship that began nearly two decades ago had come full circle. Batjargal, a leader we first introduced to radio ministry in 1997, has since established WIND-FM in Ulan Bator—now ranking among the top stations in the capital city. In a nation where 98% of the population identifies as atheist, Buddhist, or shamanist, this radio station has become one of the most powerful witnesses for the Christian message, with vision to reach across the entire nation.

Mongolia: A Strategic Invitation

We received a direct invitation from the General Superintendent of Mongolia to return this August and help build their media ministry capacity through in-person training. In this heavily Buddhist nation where less than 1% of the population is Christian, this represents a rare and strategic opportunity that we cannot overlook.

While churches in Mongolia have begun using media tools, they desire specialized training to maximize their effectiveness. Our team will spend a full week conducting intensive training with local church workers, equipping them with tools to share Christ with boldness and love in this spiritually hungry nation.

Looking Forward

Next month’s training represents more than just a return visit—it’s the continuation of a relationship that demonstrates the long-term impact of media ministry investment. From our initial three-week intensive in 1997 to today’s thriving radio station, we’ve witnessed how proper training can multiply gospel impact across an entire nation.

In preparation for this strategic opportunity, we’re reminded that from the bustling cities of Southeast Asia to the remote steppes of Mongolia, His Message is moving—changing lives through media that speaks the language of the heart. Mongolia is hungry for hope, and digital doors are opening wide.

Thank you for partner with us as we take the next steps to train media missionaries in Mongolia and beyond.

It all began with a camera in her hand and a dream in her heart— not yet fully formed, not yet fully surrendered.

Angela Macasieb came to Asia Pacific Media as an intern, a film student with a love for stories and little expectation of how her own would unfold.

She didn’t grow up in a church bustling with tech teams or livestreamed sermons. She wasn’t

raised to think of media as ministry. “Back then,” Angela said gently, her voice soft like morning light, “my dream was simply to pursue filmmaking as a career.”

But God.

God has a way of taking our ordinary and stitching it into something sacred.

When Heaven Rewires the Heart

Through the lens of a borrowed camera and the hum of an editing suite, Angela’s heart was being rewired. Her internship with APMedia became less about learning how to cut film and more about learning how to carry hope.

“It opened my eyes to a deeper purpose,” she said, her eyes full of the wonder that comes when heaven brushes close. “Using media to serve God and reach people changed everything,” Angela said.

And it did. It changed the trajectory of her life, the tone of her prayers, the stories she would choose to tell.

The Not-So-Easy Path to Purpose

After graduation, she stayed—not because it was easy, but because it was eternal. “I chose to continue working with APMedia,” she said, “not just because I could still create films—but because I found something even more fulfilling: the opportunity to train, equip, and serve others through media.”

This is what we long to see—young hearts ignited, callings multiplied. Angela’s yes became more than a job; it became a ripple effect. She’s now building a media ministry in her own church, echoing the heart of APMedia in new spaces, with new voices.

Lightbearers Behind the Lens

We are not just raising up storytellers—we’re raising up kingdom carriers, lightbearers behind the lens, young women like Angela who say yes to God in the quiet, behind the scenes, where the world might not see—but heaven does.

Because when God gets ahold of a surrendered camera and a willing heart, we see His Message, Multiplied.
