2009 NATIONWIDE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP AT DANIEL ISLAND

ALL ACCESS Insiders’ View Charleston Harbor Fest offers the unique chance to board the ships and have a close look at their beauty. For the adventure enthusiast, there will also be opportunities to join the crew and sail onboard from Charleston to Boston (fee applies and varies per vessel). In addition to harbor tours and free sailing, land-based activities during Harbor Fest include an extensive children’s area, education village with conservation exhibits, family boat building, classic boat display, and an Old Charlestowne living history exhibit with pirates. Patriots Point will offer modern attractions such as helicopter rides, aerobatic flight demos, modern military exhibits, and of course the USS Yorktown. Golf Channel will televise all four rounds live. The Tour Championship is the final event of the tour and concludes the season-long competition to identify 25 players who earn PGA TOUR cards for the following season based on the Tour’s final money list. The field is limited to the top-60 money winners through the final full-field event of the season.

ALL ACCESS Insiders’ View: Daniel Island, an award-winning master-planned community in Charleston, S.C., is home to the private Daniel Island Club. The Club’s golf offerings include two nationally-ranked courses designed by Rees Jones (Ralston Creek) and Tom Fazio (Beresford Creek). The Nationwide Tour Championship will be played on the Ralston Creek course, a par-72 layout that stretches to 7,446 yards.
