Design Brief
The brief combined emotional legacy with future ambition The intent was to create a space that resonates with a younger audience while retaining the familiarity valued by long-standing patrons. The design focuses on creating a soothing yet dynamic environment where every corner feels distinct
Design Approach
A restrained palette of terracotta, blue, green, and grey is balanced with white to create a cohesive visual identity. Curved forms, arched openings, and layered spatial planning help define multiple micro-environments within the compact layout
Spatial Planning
The café is designed as a collection of varied seating zones catering to couples, families, and social groups. This ensures diverse experiences within a 1600 sq ft space while maintaining efficient circulation
Material & Details
Warm materials such as teakwood, custom tiled tables, stone flooring, and rattan lighting enhance the tactile quality of the space. Design interventions transform structural constraints into functional elements, adding character and depth
Execution
Completed within a six-week timeline, the project reflects precision, clarity in design thinking, and efficient execution while accommodating all functional requirements.
