In the fast changing landscape of Mumbai, what happens to an identity which is disappearing from public memory? The thesis is concerned with re-introducing to public memory, the evidence of the city’s port-related history through architecture. Through an introduction to public memory, the forgotten Eastern Waterfront of the post-industrial city would be reinvigorated and reclaimed in the physical form of the city.
