INTRODUZIONE / INTRODUCTION

be present with our exhibition area at Euroflora 2022 from the 23rd of April to the 8th of May at the Parks of Nervi (Genoa). The appointments then continue with the AIPV day at the Minoprio Foundation, in May with the usual appointment of the National Day of the Mediterranean Nursery and in September with Demo Green 2022. The association continues its fundamental commitment to networking through collaboration with all the organizing bodies. In addition to the important role of representation during exhibitions and fairs, ANVE during the course of 2021 has followed in the forefront the regulatory process of the Draft Law “Florovivaismo” (Provisions for the regulation, promotion and valorization of the activities of the florovivaistico sector). In fact, we have collaborated with a pool of associations of the floricultural sector to prepare a single and highly representative document with all the proposed amendments. I sincerely hope that during 2022 the Bill can continue its course in the Senate, reaching a complete approval by 2023. The attention to the EU Plant Health Regulations has always distinguished us: in fact, just during 2021 we have made fully operational the Management Plans of risks related to harmful organisms, provided for by art. 91 of EU Reg. 2031/2016. The first plans have already been adopted by ANVE Members and will be made available during 2022 for elaboration within companies and approval at the competent plant health service. The Management Plan remains a self-control procedure on a voluntary basis that allows companies to practice a better and meticulous analysis of critical points for the reduction of phytosanitary risk.

without the support and trust of my Italian colleagues and of the Association I could never have achieved this result. In this incredible year, which we can say has been exceptional for our entire country, we have celebrated the first 15 years of life of this wonderful Association that for years has been assisting, supporting and representing dozens of nursery and floriculture companies among the most structured and renowned in Italy. During the course of 2022 I will end my experience as President of ANVE, since my mandate is now over. This will allow a healthy and fair turnover of positions that will enrich the Association with new ideas, thoughts and skills. Being the President of ANVE in the last four years has formed me, both as a person and as an “Endorser” of the entire Italian floricultural supply chain that I feel closer than ever. All this has been possible only thanks to the trust that my fellow members placed in me four years ago, giving me the opportunity to lead ANVE during a series of years that were complicated but rich in initiatives. Dynamism, compactness and solidity are the three words I would use to describe ANVE in a photograph in 2022. AD MAIORA!

“The year 2021 marked a strong expansion of the import-export market making Italy among the first three TOP countries for export.” This is because the quality, efficiency and precision of Italian supplies are appreciated and required all over the world. ANVE, thanks to its network of collaborations with the largest European and international Associations, in 2021 has consolidated its position in the panorama of world Associations. In fact, in October 2021, it was with great honor that I accepted the candidacy for the role of Vice President to lead the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH).

“This achievement is not a finishing line, but it is for me a great and unexpected personal recognition, and above all a recognition of the Italian nursery industry in the world:”
