Dit is niet gewoon een biercafé, alles straalt hier vakmanschap en passie voor bier uit; van het uitgebreide aanbod, het interieur tot de bediening. Het opmerkelijke is ook dat alles gebonden is aan België: op het menu staan enkel typisch Belgische gerechten. Wij, Belgen, zijn al jaar en dag gekend voor onze biercultuur en bij Bier Central zijn we hier dan ook enorm trots op.

Bier Central est “The Place to beer” à rencontre des vrais amateurs de bière. Ce n’est pas un bar à bières ordinaire. Ici, tout respire l’artisanat et la passion pour la bière, de la vaste sélection au service, en passant par l’intérieur. Autre fait singulier : tout est lié à la Belgique. Le menu ne propose que des plats typiquement belges. Nous, les Belges, avons toujours été connus pour notre culture de la bière, et chez Bier Central, nous en sommes très fiers.

Bier Central is “The Place to beer” for real beer lovers. This is no ordinary beer café. Everything here exudes craftsmanship and passion for beer, from the extensive selection to the interior décor and the service. What’s really great about the venue is that everything is related to Belgium – all of the items on the menu are typical Belgian dishes. As Belgians, we have always been known for our beer culture and at Bier Central we are very proud of this.

Did you know ?

Mensen soms klagen van hoofdpijn na het drinken van bier? Naast ‘overdaad schaadt’ kan het zijn dat het bier niet goed afgeschuimd was. De grote bellen in de schuimkraag bevatten CO2 en dat kan wel eens voor wat last zorgen. Daarom zorgen we dat onze mensen het vak goed onder de knie hebben.

Les gens se plaignent parfois de maux de tête après avoir bu de la bière ? Même si ‘l’excès nuit en tout’, il se peut aussi que la bière n’ait pas été écumée correctement. Les grosses bulles dans le col contiennent du CO2, qui peut causer des désagréments. C’est pourquoi nous veillons à ce que nos collaborateurs aient une bonne maîtrise du métier.

People sometimes complain of headaches after drinking beer. Aside from plain ‘overdoing it’, it could be that the beer wasn’t properly skimmed. The large bubbles in the head contain CO2 and that can cause some trouble. That’s why we make sure our people have fully mastered the craft.

Bier van het vat beter smaakt ? Dit komt voornamelijk omdat het verser is, zeker bij goed lopende leidingen zoals in Bier Central! Vanzelfsprekend worden de bierleidingen maandelijks gereinigd door een professionele firma.

La bière en fût a meilleur goût ? C’est principalement parce qu’elle est plus fraîche, surtout avec des conduites bien entretenues comme chez Beer Central ! Bien entendu, les conduites à bière sont nettoyées chaque mois par une entreprise professionnelle.

Draught beer tastes better. This is mainly because it’s fresher, especially with smooth-running beer lines like ours at Bier Central! It goes without saying that the beer lines are cleaned every month by a professional company.

Belgoo bieren- Artisanale hoogvergistingsbieren uit de regio rond Brussel. Gebrouwen op basis van een mix van verschillende graansoorten zoals gerst, tarwe, spelt en haver en rijkelijk koud gehopt (dryhopped) met hopsoorten van over heel de wereld.

Belgoo beers- bières artisanales de haute fermentation brassées dans la région Bruxelloise. Composées d’un mélange de différentes céréales, d’orge, de froment, d’épeautre, d’avoine et richement houblonnées à cru (dry hopped) avec des houblons provenant du monde entier.

Antwerpen is de grootste stad van Vlaanderen en tweede grootste stad van België. Ze heeft ook de tweede grootste zeehaven van Europa en krijgt bijnamen als ‘de Scheldestad’ (vanwege de ligging aan de rivier de Schelde) en de ‘Diamantstad’, omdat Antwerpen al vijf eeuwen lang een wereldvermaarde diamantindustrie kent. Haar inwoners die noemen ze ‘Sinjoren,’ afkomstig van het Spaanse ‘señor’.

ANVERS

Anvers est la plus grande ville de Flandre et la deuxième plus grande ville de Belgique. Elle possède également le deuxième plus grand port maritime d’Europe et est surnommée ‘la ville de l’Escaut’ (en raison de sa situation au bord du fleuve) et ‘la ville du diamant’, car Anvers possède une industrie diamantaire de renommée mondiale depuis cinq siècles. Ses habitants sont surnommés ‘Sinjoren’, un terme qui vient de l’espagnol ‘señor’.

ANTWERP

Antwerp is the largest city in Flanders and the second largest city in Belgium. It also has the second largest seaport in Europe and is nicknamed ‘the City on the Scheldt’ (because of its location on the river Scheldt) and the ‘Diamond City’, because Antwerp has been the centre of the world-renowned diamond industry for five centuries. Its inhabitants are called ‘Sinjoren,’ which comes from the Spanish ‘señor’.

Je bovenop een gigantisch walvissenkerhof zit? 9 miljoen jaar geleden was de zee hier 30 tot 50 meter diep. Walvissen kwamen speciaal naar hier om te paren en daarbij vallen (bij hen) altijd doden.

You are sitting on top of a giant whale graveyard. Nine million years ago, the sea at this very spot was 30 to 50 metres deep. Whales would come here especially to mate, which, it seems, led to some fatalities (at least with whales).
