industria Projectar um edifício industrial significa, em primeiro lugar, encontrar o invólucro mais adequado para um sistema rígido e previamente determinado. Esta actividade implica o relacionamento profícuo com o dono de obra e com os diversos especialistas intervenientes no processo.

Para além disso, as dimensões e as geometrias das construções fabris exigem uma atenção redobrada em relação à mais correcta implantação no terreno, tendo em conta as questões de acessibilidade e de integração paisagística.

A Acanto conta com uma vasta experiência em projectos desta natureza, em trabalhos que vão desde as pequenas unidades fabris até aos conjuntos de grande escala territorial.

Industry buildings To design an industrial building means, above all, to find the most suitable shelter for a rigid, predetermined system. This activity implies a fruitful relationship, both with developers and with other consultants involved in the process.

In addition, factory buildings dimensions and geometries require greater attention regarding the best site development, taking into account issues such as accessibility or landscape integration.

Acanto has extensive experience in projects of industrial nature, in assignments ranging from small manufacturing units to large-scale territorial units.

O programa pedia a construção de um pavilhão que englobasse um depósito de máquinas para a indústria, tanto novas como usadas, um depósito de peças, uma zona administrativa e uma área de exposição.

A volumetria do edifício, conseguida através de formas regulares e paralelepipédicas, foi ditada por esta circunstância funcional, bem como pela sistematização dos respectivos processos construtivos.

Cada volume adquire uma imagem diferente consoante o fim a que se destina: o de armazéns é mais compacto e simples; o de escritórios é mais elaborado e tratado; o de exposições, mais aberto e expressivo, caracteriza-se pela planta curva, replicada na grande pala de ensombramento.

The brief called for the construction of a large pavilion. This should comprise three areas: a warehouse to store industrial components and machines, both new and used; an administrative zone; and an exhibition area.

The mass of the building, achieved through regular and parallelepiped forms, was dictated by this functional circumstance, as well as by the systematization of the respective constructive processes.

Each volume acquires a different image according to its purpose: the warehouses are compact and simple; the office areas are articulated and elaborate; the open and expressive exhibition zones are set according a curved plan, replicated by a vast overhanging shade.

O edifício é destinado à lavagem simultânea da roupa de diversas instituições. O desafio especial deste trabalho encontra-se no facto de a roupa a tratar ser em grande quantidade 1.500 kg/dia), e de ser também de diversos tipos, nomeadamente hospitalar.

As maquinarias exigidas e o programa funcional determinaram a forma e o volume da construção, numa envolvente paisagística de excepção, condicionada por várias imposições de ordem legal e ambiental.

The building is intended for the simultaneous laundry of clothing from several institutions.

The special challenge of this work lies in the enormous quantity (1.500 kg/day) and great variety of clothing to be treated, being some of medical usage.

The building shape was determined both by the required machinery and by the imposed brief, in an exceptional landscape conditioned by various legal and environmental requirements.

A proposta pretende criar novas instalações para uma empresa de logística, de modo a torná-las compatíveis com as tecnologias mais recentes.

Este propósito é conseguido através da ampliação e reorganização funcional do espaço existente, num acréscimo correspondente a 6.000,00 m2, Toda a área exterior do lote (36.000,00 m2) foi também reconfigurada, de modo a permitir uma melhor definição de zonas e uma optimização dos circuitos e dos acessos.

Distribution and logistics center The proposal aims to create new facilities for a logistics company, in order to make them compatible with the latest technologies.

This is achieved by the functional and spatial rearrangement of the existing area, with an increase corresponding to 6.000,00 sqm, The entire exterior area of the plot (36.000,00sqm)has also been reconfigured, so as to allow a better definition of the different zones, and an optimization of circuits and accesses.

The project was previously carried out by the company's officers, according to their needs.

Our intervention was related to the definition of material options and of constructive methods. In addition, we were in charge of the equipment lay-out and corresponding functional organization.

O projecto foi previamente executado pelos técnicos da empresa, à medida das suas necessidades. A nossa intervenção esteve relacionada com a definição de opções materiais e de métodos construtivos a adoptar.

Para além disso, a Acanto encarregou-se da distribuição de equipamentos e da nova organização funcional.

A proposta cria um parque industrial na região transfronteiriça do Minho, e tenta tirar o máximo partido do carácter excepcional do local.

A hierarquia de arruamentos assume uma importância vital no sucesso do conjunto. Um acesso principal origina uma via central, onde entroncam vários arruamentos secundários.

Esta estrutura adapta-se às condicionantes topográficas, cadastrais e arqueológicas do terreno, as quais determinam também a forma de alguns lotes.

Para além dos lotes destinados a naves industriais, foi criado um núcleo central destinado a albergar a sede da instituição gestora.

The proposal creates an industrial park in the cross-border region of Minho, and tries to take full advantage of the exceptional nature of the site.

Thoroughfare hierarchy is vitally important to the success of the compound. A main access leads to a central road, and this connects several other secondary ways. This lay-out is adapted to the special topographical, cadastral, and archaeological conditions of the site, which also settle the shape of some plots.

In addition to plots destined to industrial buildings, a central area was created, in order to house the managing institution.

A criação de infraestruturas empresariais seguras é uma prioridade em qualquer país acabado de sair de uma guerra. Este projecto pretende colaborar nesse esforço.

A proposta insere-se à margem de uma das principais vias estruturantes do país, importante tanto a nível local como internacional. Fica próxima de uma área urbana, e tira o máximo partido do terreno disponível.

Para além das naves industriais, foi projectada uma torre destinada a escritórios e serviços.

Para além de garantir o necessário apoio empresarial, a torre contribui para a melhoria da imagem urbana do local.

Creating secure business infrastructures is a top priority in any country that has just emerged from a war. This project aims to contribute to this effort.

The proposal lies at the margin of one of the country’s main structuring routes, important both at local and international level. It is close to an urban area, and takes full advantage of the available land.

In addition to the industrial warehouses, a tower was designed for offices and services.

Besides guaranteeing the necessary business support, the tower contributes to the improvement of the urban image of the place.
