LOTTERY CREDIT
Does your tax bill include a lottery credit? Do you qualify for a lottery credit? These are two important questions that could save you $209 74 on your 2024 property tax bill
If you own your home and it is your main residence as of January 1, 2024, you qualify for the lottery credit Look on your property tax bill to see if a lottery credit of $209.74 is listed. If it is, you are getting the credit, and you do not need to do anything further.
If you do not see any amount in the lottery credit line on your tax bill, please contact our office as there is a form that needs to be completed and signed if you qualify.
There are two ways to qualify for this credit immediately upon completing a form
You own your home, and it is your main residence as of January 1, 2024
You purchased a home in 2024 that you are living in, and it was previously occupied by the former owner on January 1, 2024.
If you do not qualify for 2024 but purchased a home and are the resident as of January 1, 2025, you can complete a lottery credit form so that you receive the credit on next year’s tax bill.

Garbage Do’s and Don’ts in the City of Antigo
Thank you to all the city residents that positively impact our community daily by following city ordinances and rules It takes the entire community to make the city a cleaner and more attractive place to work, live, and visit Below is a reminder of the city’s basic garbage-related rules:
1) Residents must have adequate garbage storage. Garbage must be stored in a sealed container and cannot be stored on a trailer, in the back of a truck, on your porch, or anywhere other than in a sealed container.
2) Bulk storage containers and dumpsters are only for commercial use and are not permitted for residential use
3) Owners of rental property must supply tenants with garbage storage containers with tightly fitting lids and adequate weekly garbage collection
4) Disposing of your brush and mulch in a timely manner is required. The city provides two curbside pick-ups each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Also, a brush and mulch site, where brush and mulch can be dropped off, is provided free of charge to city residents. It opens in the spring and continues to operate through the fall. Specific dates and times for curbside pick-up and for the brush and mulch site can be found at www antigo-city org
5) Please remember that garbage containers may be placed at the curb or on the boulevard, for collection only, and no earlier than the evening prior to collection at 6:00pm and must be removed after collection by 6:00pm, the day of collection
If you have any questions about garbage ordinances or any other building or zoning matters, please do not hesitate to contact our department.
