This summer was witness to a picture of hectic activities across all our facilities and departments. I could proudly assert that most of these engagements and initiatives are beginning to yield positive results for the company. On the organizational front, I am happy to learn that our internal auditor certification programmes and workshops were successfully conducted across the units. The workshops significantly focused on diverse touch points, from improving products and services to retaining customer trust, to name a few. I congratulate the teams that made these workshops a success and urge them to share the outcomes and observations liberally, as these learnings are crucial for all of us.
As I come to conclude this note, I want to personally thank one and all for being a part of MSAF, through its thick and thin. Let us together continue to play an important part in building a strong organisation and a strong nation, where we are committed to our values and ethics.

It is a moment of great excitement and satisfaction as we now have an amazing platform that we can affectionately call our own – where we share updates and information, communicate plans and policies, exchange views and ideas, and ultimately connect with one another. Newsletters, across the world, are known to strengthen the bond among employees, and also between the organization and its employees. Our newsletter is expected to work significantly in this direction. However, it is important to contribute, participate, and interact through this platform to enrich the content and improve standards progressively. We expect all of you to contribute substantially and regularly. This can be in many aspects such as the department’s achievements and individual accomplishments, art and skill display, photos and information from departments and facilities, and participation in competitions, fora,

The past years have been a phenomenal period for MSAF in terms of capacity augmentation, talent acquisition, and learning. Wearing new wings and all set to fly at a higher altitude, MSAF made optimal use of the year to consolidate all efforts and converge them appropriately at a juncture from where we can scale up seamlessly on all parameters. The post-Covid period has not been kind to the world economy which was making ardent attempts to limp back to normalcy. The fiscal year was more or less free of covid incidence, though still not immune to covid effects. In the wake of this, we redesigned our efforts and accelerated initiatives that saw us perform appreciably well on core fronts such as production, market performance, human resources, and fortification of the bottom line.
Let us now throw light on the milestones that we crossed during this year
1) Expansion focus
Brownfield development of the Naidupet plant located in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh
2) Value based culture
A watershed year for MSAF when it came to institutionalizing values in a more
vigorous fashion, by seeking participation from all associates, engaging them in interactive activities
3) Top management pipeline
The year was witness to some of the rank appointments at the higher level, where executives with proven capabilities and having built and sustained large businesses and functions, came on board
4) A brand-new address
It was the beginning of a new chapter, as we shifted to a swanky and more spacious office space in Hyderabad
5) Learning Curve
It was a year of hectic learning activity and the calendar shows it all. From upskilling and reskilling initiatives for lower and middle management to leadership programmes, MSAF, emboldened by the dynamic learning and training team’s vision, is on an ambitious path of building competencies and skills on a consistent basis
We know it is a humble beginning and there is a first step to every marathon and a trickle before it becomes a river.
Let us acknowledge this and inculcate the spirit of participation.

We believe our sustainable steel bars have provided them with the foundation to build a stronger future. In meeting their needs, everything we do must be of high quality. We must constantly strive to provide value, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards as we hold ourselves responsible for someone’s safety and sustainability
While doing this, We are also responsible to the communities in which we live, work and give back to. We focus on protecting
the environment and encourage sustainable solutions. We conserve resources, focus on protecting the environment, and improve social conditions for those who need it most.
MSAF has launched its Individual Social Responsibility initiative as part of which 100+ employees of MS Agarwal Foundries volunteered for the Tree Plantation initiative and planted more than 1000 plants in and around its manufacturing units in Toopran & Naidupeta
Sustainability is one of our core values and we will continue to build teams, processes, and products that focus on creating a safe, strong, sustainable nation. We will come up more opportunities for MAF employees every quarter to volunteer towards Individual Social Responsibility.
Values Master Training
MSAF had a tremendous journey towards values awareness across the organisation. Taking the next steps – our first priority is to moving on from Values Awareness to Values Demonstration this year. For this to happen, a pool of ‘Values Master Trainers’ is been created. We have started and the first batch of ‘Values Master Trainers’ were trained at Unit 2 on June 12 & 13, 2023
The Value Master Training Workshop intended to engage and build master trainers to in-turn train the employees on MSAF Values & Culture. This initiative with training of Master Trainers aims at building a pool of competent instructors who can then take forward the values training to all employees more rigorously. The Values Master Trainers would be the extended arm of learning & development teams and will continue to conduct values trainings for existing as well as new employees and would lead activities that will reinforce values related learning & awareness across the organisation.
Responsibility of Master Trainers: Train Employees: Continue doing regular and refresher trainings for all employees (including non-management staff)
Direct participant: Direct participants to value based learning resources and reference materials. Communicate & sustain
the as-is objectives of MSAF Purpose, Vision, Mission & Values
Lead discussions: Lead value related awareness discussion and activities that reinforce learning across the organization and align them to MSAF Purpose, Vision, Mission & Values
Make observations: Provide insight into how organization can improve the awareness & alignment and also share challenges faced by employees in adapting values on their work routine. They will also help employees in understanding and highlighting value based “critical instances” (part of Goal Sheets 80:20 weightage). This will organically make employee appreciate the ‘good’ behavior and report/handle the ‘not-so-good’ behavior at workplace
Digital Training & Awareness on Values: the same master trainers would eventually be trained on Adrenalin HRMS and would lead the online learning activities for employees as we move forward
We will continue doing this activity in Unit 1 and HO as well in the coming weeks.
The training also focused on improving their communication, presentation & articulation skills to enable them to communicate about values more effectively.
