nih biosketch requirements updates to existing guidelines

By May 25, 2025, NIH will require that Biographical Sketches and Other Support files are created using the Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae (SciENcv), a web tool managed by NIH. We expect NIH will no longer accept files created manually in Word or Adobe PDF NSF has already adopted this

requirement for Biographical Sketches and Current and Pending Support.

To prepare for this change, PreAward Shared Services (PASS) can assist you with setting up an NIH Biosketch, NSF Biosketch or NSF Current and Pending Support in SciENcv. NIH Other Support is not yet available in SciENcv, but we expect that it will be available and required soon. If you would like PASS to assist with the creation of your SciENcv files:
